Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Facing Blue Jackets
Lankinen will patrol the home crease against Columbus on Saturday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Lankinen has a 2-4-0 record this season while allowing 22 goals on 184 shots. Jiri Patera will be the backup netminder, and Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) will get the night off to rest. The Blue Jackets sit 16th in the league with 3.08 goals per game this campaign.

Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Won't dress Saturday
Demko (undisclosed) won't dress for Saturday's home game against Columbus, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Kevin Lankinen will start against the Blue Jackets on Saturday, and Jiri Patera will serve as the backup goaltender. Demko isn't in the lineup for what the team described as preventative maintenance. The 29-year-old goaltender has an extensive injury history. Vancouver is presumably hoping that a cautious approach with Demko will ultimately lead to him avoiding any big stretches where he's unavailable this year. He was on the ice for Saturday's morning skate, and it's unclear if he will return to the lineup for Saturday's home matchup against Colorado.

Canucks' Gabe Chiarot: Two helpers in win
Chiarot registered two assists in OHL Brampton's 5-4 shootout win over Sarnia on Friday.
Chiarot has been alright to begin 2025-26, earning five goals and six helpers over 13 games. The Canucks prospect had 35 points in 66 regular-season outings in his draft year (2024-25) before he was selected in the sixth round this past June. He signed an entry-level deal in September, which is a vote of confidence from the Canucks that the 19-year-old could be part of the team's long-term plans.

Canucks' Thatcher Demko: In doubt for back-to-back
Demko is questionable to play during the Canucks' upcoming back-to-back against Columbus and Colorado on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports.
Demko's potential absence was deemed preventative maintenance, given the 2025-26 schedule. Still, it will be a concern for fantasy managers and Canucks' fans alike, especially considering the netminder's recent injury woes. With Demko's availability in doubt, the team recalled Jiri Patera from the minors.

Canucks' Jiri Patera: Called up from AHL
Patera was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Friday, Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK reports.
There is no word at this time as to whether Thatcher Demko or Kevin Lankinen are injured. Patera has gone 1-2-1 with a 3.10 GAA and an .894 save percentage in five AHL appearances this season. Patera has played eight NHL games across a pair of seasons with Vegas, posting a 3-3-1 record.

Canucks' Pierre-Olivier Joseph: Gets first helper of season
Joseph notched an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks.
Joseph was scratched Monday against the Predators, but he replaced Elias Pettersson in the lineup for Wednesday's contest. The helper was Joseph's first point in eight appearances this season. He's added seven blocked shots, three hits, nine shots on net and a minus-2 rating while primarily playing on the third pairing.

Canucks' Aatu Raty: Breaks up shutout bid
Raty scored a goal on two shots, added three hits and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks.
Raty has a goal and three assists over his last four outings. The 22-year-old continues to play well in a bottom-six role. He's now at five points, nine shots on net, 36 hits, six blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 13 appearances. Raty's place in the lineup is likely safe as long as both of Teddy Blueger (undisclosed) and Filip Chytil (upper body) are on injured reserve.

Canucks' Evander Kane: Leads offense in loss
Kane scored a goal on 10 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks.
Kane got the Canucks within two goals at 18:00 of the third period. He's scored three goals over his last two outings, and that's come with a move up to the top line that should benefit his production for as long as he stays there. The 34-year-old winger has a total of eight points, 44 shots on net, 31 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 15 appearances this season.

Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Unravels in third period
Lankinen stopped 23 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.
Lankinen kept the game scoreless through two periods, but the Blackhawks rattled off four goals in 11:37 to start the third. That was enough to send Lankinen to another loss, dropping him to 2-4-0 with a 3.62 GAA and an .880 save percentage over six starts this season. He shouldn't have to wait long for his next start, as the Canucks play a back-to-back this weekend. They host the Blue Jackets on Saturday followed by the Avalanche on Sunday, so look for Lankinen and Thatcher Demko to split those starts.

Canucks' Conor Garland: Good to play Wednesday
Garland (undisclosed) is set to return for Wednesday's clash against Chicago, per Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650.
Garland missed Vancouver's past three games. He has three goals and 11 points in 11 appearances this season. Garland is likely to serve in a top-six capacity and as a member of the first power-play unit versus the Blackhawks.

Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Expected to face Chicago
Lankinen is set to start at home against Chicago on Wednesday, per Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650.
Lankinen has a 2-3-0 record, 3.53 GAA and .885 save percentage in five appearances with Vancouver in 2025-26. He's surrendered at least three goals in four of those five outings, but he could bounce back against the Blackhawks. Chicago has dropped three straight games (0-2-1) while scoring only six goals over that stretch.

Kudryavtsev was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Wednesday.
Kudryavtsev was recalled Oct. 26, but he hasn't made his season debut for Vancouver this year. The 21-year-old has five assists in five outings with Abbotsford in 2025-26.

Canucks' Alexei Medvedev: Claims weekly honors
Medvedev was named the OHL Goaltender of the Week on Monday.
Medvedev led OHL London to a pair of wins, making 35 saves on 36 shots against Peterborough on Thursday, followed by a 30-save effort on 31 shots against Kingston. The 18-year-old netminder has been superb in OHL play this year with a 1.86 GAA and a .929 save percentage en route to a 6-1-1 record across eight games. He is a Canucks prospect, taken 47th overall in 2025, and he signed his entry-level deal in July. Medvedev will likely stay in junior hockey through 2026-27 before making the jump to the AHL.

Canucks' Tom Willander: Collects first career assist
Willander notched an assist in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Predators.
The helper was Willander's first point in four career NHL games. The 20-year-old defenseman was expected to spend most of 2025-26 in the AHL, but the Canucks have sustained a number of injuries on the blue line, pressing him into service at the NHL level sooner than expected. He's added four shots on net, two blocked shots, one hit and a plus-1 rating so far. Willander will probably head back to AHL Abbotsford once Victor Mancini (upper body) and/or Derek Forbort (undisclosed) get cleared to return from injured reserve.

Canucks' Jake DeBrusk: Nets power-play goal
DeBrusk scored a power-play goal on six shots and added two hits in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Predators.
DeBrusk ended a four-game point drought with his tally. All three of his goals this season have come with the man advantage. It hasn't led to more consistent offense overall for the winger, but the Canucks myriad of injuries have kept him firmly in a top-six role so far. The 29-year-old is at five points, 42 shots on net, 11 hits, eight blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through 14 appearances.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Two helpers against Preds
Pettersson notched two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over Nashville.
The 26-year-old helped set up a Jake DeBrusk tally midway through the second period before winning a puck battle in the corner and chipping it to Brock Boeser for the winner with just two seconds left on the clock in OT. It was Pettersson's second multi-point performance of the season, and through 14 games, he's produced three goals and 10 points with 29 blocked shots, 20 shots on net, 17 hits and an even plus-minus rating as he works to put a rough 2024-25 campaign behind him.

Canucks' Evander Kane: Opens goal account for 2025-26
Kane scored two goals, one on the power play, in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Predators.
The veteran winger had been stuck in a 13-game goal drought to begin the season, but Kane finally got rolling Monday when his one-timer late in the first period deflected off a Nashville stick and got past Juuse Saros. Kane then gave the Canucks a 4-2 lead early in the third period when he banged home a rebound. He's been able to stay fairly productive despite the lack of puck luck, however, and he's collected seven points, 34 shots on net, 30 hits, 28 PIM, nine blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 14 contests.
