Wild's Jonas Brodin: Won't make two-game trip
Brodin (lower body) will not join the Wild for their two-game road trip, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports Friday.
Considering Brodin has already missed four games due to his lower-body issue, and will now be out for at least two more, he figures to be a strong candidate for injured reserve if Minnesota needs the roster spot. It's a tough blow for the veteran blueliner, as he has registered a point in six of his last seven outings for a combined two goals and five helpers. With Brock Faber (upper body) back in action, the last spot on the blue line will go to Travis Dermott or David Jiricek -- at least until Brodin is given the all-clear.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Set to start Monday
Gustavsson will serve as the starting netminder for Monday's road game against Colorado, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Although Marc-Andre Fleury will get the start Saturday against Nashville as the Wild begin a two-game road trip, Gustavsson will be in the net a few days later. Gustavsson is in the midst of a three-game slump in which he's gone 0-3-0 with a 5.07 GAA and .850 save percentage. He struggled against the Avalanche last week, allowing six goals on 27 shots (.778 save percentage) en route to the home loss.

Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Starting Saturday
Fleury will patrol the road crease in Nashville on Saturday, according to Jessi Pierce of NHL.com.
Fleury was outstanding in his last start, turning aside 36 shots in a 3-1 win over San Jose on Jan 11. The win gave Fleury a 9-3-1 record with a 2.54 GAA and a .910 save percentage. Fleury will face the Predators, who are scoring 2.45 goals per game, 31st in the NHL this season.

Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Not on road trip
Spurgeon (lower body) will not be on the Wild's upcoming two-game road trip, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Spurgeon has been out of action since Dec. 31 when he was hurt versus Nashville. He will miss Saturday's game in Nashville, as well as Monday's tilt in Colorado. Spurgeon has missed the last seven contests and has four goals and nine assists across 32 games this season.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Won't travel with team
Kaprizov (lower body) won't travel with the Wild for their upcoming two-game road trip, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Although Kaprizov has appeared to trend in the right direction in his recovery recently, he'll be unavailable for at least two more games while on long-term injured reserve. The 27-year-old will be eligible to return to game action whenever he's deemed fully healthy, and his next chance to suit up will be at home against Utah on Thursday.

Wild's Brock Faber: Will play Saturday
Faber (upper body) will be in the lineup to face the Predators on Saturday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Faber returned following a four-game stint on the shelf due to his upper-body injury. Prior to his absence, the 22-year-old Minnesota native was stuck in a five-game goal drought during which he registered one assist, eight shots and seven blocks. In addition to retaking his top-pairing assignment, Faber figures to link up with the No. 1 power-play unit, a role that he's been successful in, as he's recorded seven of his 20 points this year with the man advantage.

Wild's Devin Shore: Recalled by Minnesota
Shore was recalled from AHL Iowa on Friday.
Shore was sent down by Minnesota on Thursday, but he'll rejoin the NHL club a day later. The Wild's forwards are slowly getting healthier, but Shore could still see some time in the lineup while Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) and Marcus Johansson (concussion) remain sidelined.

Wild's Brendan Gaunce: Up with big club
Gaunce was recalled from AHL Iowa on Thursday.
Gaunce will likely be in the lineup Saturday versus the Predators unless Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) is able to play. Kaprizov was moved to long-term injured reserve to give the Wild enough cap room to bring up Gaunce and Liam Ohgren. Through five NHL games this season, Gaunce has zero points, four shots on net, six hits, four PIM and a minus-3 rating.

Wild's Liam Ohgren: Up from minors
Ohgren was recalled from AHL Iowa on Thursday.
Ohgren has 12 goals and 23 points in 25 outings with Iowa in 2024-25. He also has made eight appearances with Minnesota this season, recording no points, 10 shots and eight hits. Ohgren will likely be in the lineup Saturday versus Nashville because Marcus Johansson (concussion) and Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) are unavailable.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Moves to long-term injured reserve
Kaprizov (lower body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Thursday, retroactive to Dec. 23.
Kaprizov is eligible to return Saturday versus the Predators. The 27-year-old winger's move to LTIR is a cap-related transaction, as the Wild were short at forward without enough cap space to fill out their roster prior to the move. Brendan Gaunce and Liam Ohgren were called up from AHL Iowa following Kaprizov's move to LTIR.

Wild's Marcus Johansson: On injured reserve
Johansson has been put on injured reserve Thursday. It's suspected that he's dealing with a concussion, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Johansson was injured during Wednesday's 5-3 loss to Edmonton by an elbow from Connor McDavid. The 34-year-old Johansson will miss at least a week after being put on IR, which rules him out for Minnesota's upcoming games against Nashville on Saturday and Colorado on Monday. He has five goals and 16 points in 44 appearances in 2024-25.

Wild's Ben Jones: Returned to AHL affiliate
Jones was sent to AHL Iowa on Thursday, per Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Jones went through waivers Tuesday, but he remained on the roster and saw action on the fourth line versus Edmonton on Wednesday. The center was unable to garner a point in 26 NHL games this season, but he did manage 51 hits while averaging 8:23 of ice time. He could return to Minnesota ahead of Saturday's tilt against the Predators, as the Wild have only nine healthy forwards heading into the matchup.

Wild's Jakub Lauko: Activated off injured reserve
Lauko (lower body) was taken off long-term injured reserve Thursday.
Lauko should be back in the lineup for Saturday's matchup with Nashville and will likely replace Marcus Johansson, who suffered an upper-body injury against Edmonton on Wednesday. Considering the 24-year-old Lauko is mired in a 14-game pointless streak, fantasy managers probably shouldn't be banking on him for offensive upside.

Wild's Devin Shore: Demoted to AHL
Shore was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Shore cleared waivers Wednesday but remained in the lineup versus Edmonton, picking up one hit in 6:06 of ice time. Shore has one assist over 25 games with the Wild this season and could be recalled ahead of Saturday's game in Nashville.

Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Helps out on power play
Eriksson Ek registered a power-play assist and four shots on goal in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers.
Eriksson Ek set up Matt Boldy for the opening goal just 3:02 into the contest. The 27-year-old Eriksson Ek had been held off the scoresheet over the previous three games. He remains in a second-line role, which has led to a bit less consistency on offense as injuries pile up around the Wild's lineup. He's also on the first power-play unit, where he's earned six of his 19 points this season. The center also has 81 shots on net, 54 hits and a plus-11 rating over 31 appearances.

Wild's Mats Zuccarello: Supplies two power-play assists
Zuccarello notched two power-play assists, three shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers.
Zuccarello helped out on first-period tallies by Matt Boldy and Marco Rossi. This was Zuccarello's fifth multi-point effort over the last eight contests, though he's been held off the scoresheet in the other three games in that span. The 37-year-old winger is up to 11 goals, 21 helpers, eight power-play points, 66 shots on net and a plus-7 rating through 32 outings overall while filling a top-line role.

Wild's Ryan Hartman: Tallies again Wednesday
Hartman scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers.
Hartman has scored in back-to-back contests and has three goals and four assists over his last eight outings. The 30-year-old forward scored straight from a faceoff in the second period of this game. He's up to seven goals, 14 points, 94 shots on net, 46 hits, 27 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 40 appearances this season. Hartman will continue to carry some fantasy value in deeper formats while in a top-six role, but that could change once the Wild's forward group is closer to full health.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Strikes on power play in loss
Rossi scored a power-play goal on four shots, added two hits and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers.
Rossi has two goals over his last three games. That's decent, but it pales in comparison to the four goals and 12 points he racked up over a nine-game span from Dec. 18 to Jan. 4. The 23-year-old center is up to 17 goals, 39 points (nine on the power play), 85 shots on net and a plus-15 rating through 45 appearances. He needs just one more point to match his total from 82 contests in the 2023-24 regular season.

Wild's Matt Boldy: Pair of points in loss
Boldy scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers.
Boldy also had seven shots on net and a minus-2 rating. He was a big part of the Wild's strong start to the contest, but the Oilers didn't let him add to his contributions over the final 40 minutes. Boldy has four goals and four assists over his last six outings, though these points Wednesday were his first on the power play since Dec. 18 versus the Panthers. The winger is at 17 goals, 39 points, 155 shots on net, 33 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 45 appearances.
