Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Could return Saturday
Bobrovsky (personal), who has been ruled out for Thursday's road game against the Flyers, could return for Saturday's home matchup against San Jose, Katie Engleson of Scripps Sports reports.
Bobrovsky will be unavailable for a second consecutive matchup Thursday while him and his wife prepare to welcome their second child, but head coach Paul Maurice said Thursday that the netminder could rejoin the Panthers when they return home Saturday. Spencer Knight will draw the start against Philadelphia on Thursday, while Chris Driedger will be available as a backup.

Panthers' Spencer Knight: In goal Thursday
Knight will get the starting nod on the road against the Flyers on Thursday.
Knight underwhelmed in his last outing, giving up five goals on 16 shots (.688 save percentage) in a 5-4 overtime defeat to the Penguins on Tuesday. With Sergei Bobrovsky (personal) not making the trip, the 23-year-old Knight will make his third straight start for the Panthers. Once the Cats are back in Florida, Bobrovsky should retake the starting role versus San Jose on Saturday.

Panthers' Dmitry Kulikov: Garners helper in overtime loss
Kulikov registered an assist, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Kulikov snapped a seven-game dry spell with the helper. That's his longest slump this season, as the 34-year-old defenseman has remained involved in the offense in a bottom-four role. He's now at six points, 26 shots on net, 42 hits, 23 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating through 26 appearances. Kulikov's offense is likely to be too limited to help most fantasy managers.

Panthers' Adam Boqvist: Goals in consecutive games
Boqvist scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Boqvist has scored in back-to-back games since he replaced Uvis Balinskis on the Panthers' third pairing. The 24-year-old Boqvist had his tally Tuesday assisted by Matthew Tkachuk and Jesper Boqvist, marking the first time the two Boqvists have featured on the same goal in a regular-season game. This season, the younger brother has two goals, two assists, 16 shots on net and a minus-4 rating across 12 appearances, but it appears he's gaining traction to stay in the lineup.

Panthers' Sam Bennett: Sparks third-period comeback
Bennett scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Bennett had the first of three goals in a span of 4:32 for the Panthers in the middle of the third period. That was enough to help them salvage a standings point. This was Bennett's fourth straight game with a goal and fifth in a row with a point. He's up to 13 tallies, 11 helpers, 77 shots on net, 53 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-5 rating while filling the second-line center role in a strong offense.

Panthers' Jesper Boqvist: Sets up two goals by Tkachuk
Boqvist delivered two helpers Tuesday in a 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh.
Playing alongside Matthew Tkachuk is a sure way to snap a 22-game assist drought. Boqvist certainly isn't a star, and his four goals, four assists and 24 shots in 26 games seriously limit his fantasy value.

Panthers' Spencer Knight: Struggling to keep lights on
Knight made 11 saves in a 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
Knight sat back in the third and watched his teammates roar back from a 4-1 deficit with three goals in 4:33 to force OT. The winner came on a 2-on-1 just 1:31 into the extra frame. Knight will be the guy in the blue paint while Sergei Bobrovsky (personal) is away from the team because of the birth of his child. Unfortunately, he's 1-3-1, including a shutout, over his last five starts. He allowed 12 goals in the other four games. Knight may not be your best option right now, but don't count him out either -- the kid's elite talent will keep him in games and help you win.

Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk: Four-game, eight-point streak
Tkachuk had two goals and two assists in a 5-4 loss to the Penguins on Tuesday.
Tkachuk had three points (one goal, two assists) in the third period alone. Only two players in Panthers history have had more in one period: Noel Acciari (four points, including three goals, in the second period Dec. 20, 2019) and Olli Jokinen (four points; two goals, two assists in the third period March 17, 2007). Tkachuk has 602 points (225 goals, 377 assists) in 611 career NHL games. His current streak stands and four games and eight points, including six assists.

Panthers' Spencer Knight: Patrolling road crease
Knight will get the starting nod against the Penguins on Tuesday.
Knight will make his 10th appearance of the season -- the 23-year-old is 4-4-0 with a .911 save percentage and a 2.31 GAA through nine appearances. The Connecticut native posted his first shutout of the season Saturday in a 20-save, 6-0 win over Carolina. Knight has yet to face the Penguins in his four-year NHL career.

Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Not traveling to Pittsburgh
Bobrovsky will not be available for Tuesday's road matchup against the Penguins, Katie Engleson of Scripps Sports reports.
Bobrovsky and his wife are expecting a child, so the Russian netminder will not travel with the team to Pittsburgh. Chris Driedger was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Monday, and he'll presumably be the No. 2 option behind Spencer Knight for Tuesday's game. Mackie Samoskevich was loaned to the Checkers to allow for Driedger to be brought up.

Panthers' Mackie Samoskevich: Sent down Monday
Samoskevich was loaned to AHL Charlotte on Monday.
It's unclear if this transaction is a paper move or related to Samoskevich's performance, as Florida now has just 12 forwards on its roster. Samoskevich could be recalled as soon as Tuesday ahead of the club's road game in Pittsburgh, but that remains to be seen. Chris Driedger was recalled from the Checkers in a corresponding move. Samoskevich has recorded five goals, four assists and a minus-2 rating through 22 appearances.

Panthers' Chris Driedger: Summoned from minors
Driedger was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Monday.
It's unclear if Sergei Bobrovsky or Spencer Knight are dealing with injuries, but Driedger will serve as Florida's No. 3 netminder in the meantime. Mackie Samoskevich was loaned to the Checkers in a corresponding move. Driedger is sporting a 5-2-1 record, .885 save percentage and 3.22 GAA through eight appearances with the Checkers in 2024-25.

Panthers' Nate Schmidt: Pockets helper in big win
Schmidt recorded a power-play assist and three hits in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Hurricanes.
Not to rain on any parades, but Schmidt's helper came on the Panthers' last goal as they were running up the score in the third period. The 33-year-old often plays on the second power-play unit, but it hasn't led to a particularly high level of offense or consistency. He's up to eight points (three on the power play), 18 shots on net, 27 hits, 17 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating across 23 appearances. Schmidt played in all but one of the Panthers' 14 games in November and looks to have the edge over Uvis Balinskis and Adam Boqvist in terms of staying in the lineup at this stage of the campaign.

Panthers' Adam Boqvist: Draws in, scores goal
Boqvist scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Hurricanes.
Boqvist got his first goal of the season during a four-goal burst over a span of 4:42 in the third period. The 24-year-old defenseman hadn't played much in November, dressing in just one of the first 13 games of the month. He replaced Uvis Balinskis in the lineup Saturday and could compete with him moving forward. Boqvist has three points, 14 shots on net, seven blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 11 appearances. His upside comes from offense, but he's unlikely to help in fantasy if he can't stay in the lineup.

Panthers' Mackie Samoskevich: Beats buzzer in second period
Samoskevich scored a power-play goal on four shots in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Hurricanes.
Samoskevich netted a buzzer-beater in the second period for his second goal in three games. His tally put the Panthers ahead 2-0, and they poured on four more goals in the final frame. Samoskevich's spot in the lineup isn't guaranteed, but he's taking strides to improve his standing. He's up to five goals, four helpers, two power-play points, 28 shots on net, 17 hits and a minus-2 rating over 22 appearances this season. That probably won't be enough to generate Calder Trophy buzz, but he's proving himself a decent depth scorer in his rookie campaign.
