Panthers' Seth Jones: Secures power-play helper
Jones logged a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 1-0 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.
Jones has earned two assists over eight contests as a Panther. He's immediately returned to his workhorse ways from his time as a Blackhawk, as the Panthers are without Aaron Ekblad (suspension) until the third game of the postseason, leaving Jones to pick up the slack. For the season, the 30-year-old defenseman has 29 points (17 on the power play), 99 shots on net, 76 hits, 95 blocked shots and a minus-22 rating over 50 appearances.

Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Breaks through in overtime
Barkov scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two hits and logged two PIM in Thursday's 1-0 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.
Barkov scored for the second game in a row, lifting the Panthers to a hard-earned win with his tally 29 seconds into overtime to end the goalie duel between Sergei Bobrovsky and Elvis Merzlikins. Barkov is up to 19 goals, 63 points, 131 shots on net, 75 hits, 52 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 59 appearances. He's earned 26 of his points on the power play, including nine of his goals.

Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Shines against former club
Bobrovsky turned aside all 25 shots in faced in Thursday's 1-0 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.
Locked in a goaltending duel with the man who replaced him in the Columbus crease, Elvis Merzlikins, Bobrovsky simply refused to lose and made some huge saves in regulation before Aleksander Barkov potted the winner on a power play just 29 seconds into OT. It was Bobrovsky's fifth shutout of the season, one back of league leader Connor Hellebuyck, and he's allowed three goals or less in all nine of his starts since play resumed after the 4 Nations Face-Off -- a stretch in which Bob has gone 6-3-0 with a dazzling 1.58 GAA and .932 save percentage.

Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Named starter against Columbus
Bobrovsky will start Thursday's road game against the Blue Jackets.
Bobrovsky has taken losses in two of his last three starts, going 1-2-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .875 save percentage during that time. He'll attempt to bounce back against the Blue Jackets, who are tied for ninth in the NHL with 3.19 goals per game this year.

Panthers' Dmitry Kulikov: Considered week-to-week
Kulikov was labeled week-to-week by head coach Paul Maurice on Wednesday but is expected back before the end of the regular season, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Kulikov's absence will stretch a blue line that is already without Aaron Ekblad (suspension). Tobias Bjornfot was called up from the minors and should get plenty of minutes until Kulikov is cleared to return. For his part, the 34-year-old Kulikov has managed four goals, nine assists and 62 shots while dishing out 110 hits in 68 games this year.

Panthers' Tobias Bjornfot: Brought up from minors
Bjornfot was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Tuesday.
Bjornfot hasn't earned a point in eight NHL outings this season while posting eight shots on goal, five blocked shots and 10 hits. If Dmitry Kulikov (upper body) can't play against Columbus on Thursday, Bjornfot could be in the lineup.

Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Picks up helper in loss
Luostarinen registered a power-play assist and two PIM in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.
Luostarinen did not get the dad strength bump after missing a Feb. 25 game in Nashville due to the birth of his child. He followed that absence with an eight-game point drought, which he snapped with a helper on an Aleksander Barkov goal in the second period of Sunday's contest. Luostarinen is up to 21 points, 73 shots on net, 144 hits, 48 blocked shots, 26 PIM and a plus-11 rating over 67 appearances in a middle-six role this season.

Panthers' Gustav Forsling: Snags assist in loss
Forsling recorded an assist and two hits in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.
Forsling snapped an eight-game point drought with the helper on Sam Reinhart's opening goal early in the second period. The 28-year-old Forsling has started to see traces of power-play time while Aaron Ekblad (suspension) is out of the lineup until the third game of the playoffs. Forsling's offense hasn't followed his increased responsibilities. He's now at 23 points, 160 shots on net, 67 hits, 80 blocked shots and a plus-30 rating through 68 appearances, putting him on track for his worst offensive campaign in four years.

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Adds two more points
Reinhart scored a goal on six shots, added a power-play assist and went minus-2 in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.
Reinhart has two goals and six assists over his last six games, a span in which he's earned three multi-point efforts. The 29-year-old forward continues to be one of the top scorers in the league with 33 goals and 72 points over 68 appearances. He's added 181 shots on net, 82 hits, 57 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating, and he's earned 26 power-play points and six shorthanded points as a do-it-all winger.

Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: One of each Sunday
Barkov scored a power-play goal on three shots and added an assist in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders.
Barkov helped establish a 2-0 lead early in the second period, but it wasn't enough. He'd been held off the scoresheet in the previous three games, which matched his longest slump of the season. The center is up to 18 goals, 62 points (25 on the power play), 129 shots on net, 73 hits, 51 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 58 outings this season.

Panthers' Vitek Vanecek: Fades in third period
Vanecek allowed three goals on 33 shots in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Vanecek had a 2-0 lead to protect after two periods. He couldn't get the job done, allowing all three goals against in a span of 6:04 over the middle of the final frame, including two of those tallies coming from the Islanders' fourth line. All in all, it was a disappointing result for Vanecek, who dropped to 4-11-3 with a 3.63 GAA and an .888 save percentage over 20 appearances between the Panthers and the Sharks this season. The Panthers have a back-to-back next weekend -- Saturday on the road versus the Capitals and Sunday at home versus the Penguins -- so Vanecek shouldn't have to wait too long to get his next start.

Panthers' Dmitry Kulikov: Injured on Long Island
Kulikov sustained an upper-body injury Sunday against the Islanders and will not return.
Kulikov immediately departed the game after suffering his injury on a play in which he received a minor penalty for holding against New York's Anthony Duclair. Kulikov will presumably be fully evaluated when the team returns to Florida after Sunday's game. The Panthers are already without Aaron Ekblad (suspension) on the blue line, and if Kulikov has to miss any time, the team will have to summon a defenseman from AHL Charlotte -- Tobias Bjornfot, who has made eight appearances with Florida this season, would probably be first in line for a promotion.

Panthers' Vitek Vanecek: Tending twine Sunday
Vanecek will defend the road net against the Islanders on Sunday, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Vanecek will get the second half of the Panthers' back-to-back after Sergei Bobrovsky played in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Montreal. During his Florida debut, the 29-year-old Vanecek earned a 21-save shutout in a 4-0 victory over Buffalo on March 8. The Islanders sit 28th in the league with 2.66 goals per game in 2024-25.

Panthers' Mackie Samoskevich: Nets lone goal in Saturday's loss
Samoskevich scored a goal, added two PIM and logged three hits in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Canadiens.
Samoskevich has scored in every second game since Feb. 25, racking up five goals and three assists over nine contests in that span. The 22-year-old is finding consistent success in a second-line role while the Panthers await the returns of Brad Marchand (upper body) and Matthew Tkachuk (groin). For the season, Samoskevich has 13 goals, 25 points, 100 shots on net, 104 hits and a plus-2 rating through 58 appearances. His role will decrease eventually, but fantasy managers can deploy him as a depth forward until that happens.

Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Falls to Habs on Saturday
Bobrovsky made 12 saves in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Montreal.
The Canadiens' skaters had trouble actually getting shots on net, but when they did, they tended to take advantage. Bobrovsky has gone nine straight starts without allowing more than three goals, a stretch in which he's posted a 6-3-0 record with a stellar 1.70 GAA and .928 save percentage.
