Stars' Jake Oettinger: Between pipes Saturday
Oettinger will defend the road net against Nashville on Saturday, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.
Oettinger surrendered six goals on 24 shots in Thursday's 7-5 loss to Anaheim, with the seventh goal being an empty-netter. He has a 5-3-2 record this season with one shutout, a 2.89 GAA and an .899 save percentage through 10 appearances. Nashville is 30th in the league with 2.44 goals per game this campaign.

Stars' Brandon Gorzynski: Scores twice Friday in WHL win
Gorzynski scored two goals in WHL Calgary's 6-2 win over Swift Current on Friday.
Gorzynski has been limited to a goal and three assists since his last two-goal game versus Edmonton on Oct. 26. The 18-year-old is up to nine goals, seven helpers and 52 shots on net through 15 appearances this season for the Hitmen. He's already over halfway to matching his goal total (17) from the 2024-25 regular season, so it's clear his offense has taken a step up since he was selected in the fourth round by the Stars in June.

Stars' Matt Duchene: Unavailable for Saturday
Duchene (upper body) won't travel with the Stars for Saturday's game in Nashville, per Dallas beat writer Robert Tiffin on Friday.
Duchene hasn't been in the lineup since Oct. 18. He has a goal and an assist in four appearances with the Stars in 2025-26. The Stars are hoping to have Duchene join the team for their upcoming two-game road trip to Canada, which begins Tuesday in Ottawa, so he might be getting close to returning. When Duchene is ready, he'll probably serve in a middle-six capacity and receive power-play ice time.

Stars' Jason Robertson: Garners two power-play assists
Robertson logged two power-play assists, three shots on net and a minus-3 rating in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Ducks.
Robertson has four helpers, including three on the power play, over three games to begin November. The 26-year-old winger is in a seven-game goal drought, but he has provided six assists in that span. For the season, he has 13 points (eight on the power play), 59 shots on net and a minus-1 rating over 14 outings.

Stars' Tyler Seguin: Lights lamp in loss
Seguin scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Ducks.
Seguin has two goals over his last five games. He worked on a line with Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson in this contest, though the Stars have had a lot of moving parts up front due to injuries. The 33-year-old Seguin is now at four goals, six points, 20 shots on net, 10 hits and a minus-1 rating through 14 outings this season. He should continue to occupy a top-six role.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Scores in return
Hintz scored a goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Ducks.
Hintz returned from a five-game absence due to an undisclosed injury and logged 18:15 of ice time. That's roughly in line with his usual workload, especially with how the Stars often spread out the ice time. The center is up to two goals, seven helpers, 31 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over nine outings this season. As long as he stays healthy, he should continue to be a reliable source of offense.

Stars' Mikko Rantanen: Keeps streak alive
Rantanen had a power-play goal and two assists, including one on the power play, in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Ducks.
Rantanen continues to make a huge impact for the Stars and extended his run to three straight games with multi-point performances. He's also cracked the scoresheet in all but one of his last eight outings, tallying 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in that span.

Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Another three-point performance
Johnston recorded two goals and one assist, all of them on the power play, in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Ducks.
Johnston gave the Stars a 2-0 lead in the first period with back-to-back power-play tallies. However, Anaheim would score seven goals over the following two periods to turn things around. This three-point effort extended Johnston's solid run of play. He's notched 11 points (five goals, six assists) over his last eight contests while cracking the scoresheet six times in that span.

Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Sets up four goals Thursday
Heiskanen had four assists, including two on the power play, in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Ducks.
Heiskanen was unable to find the back of the net like he did against the Oilers on Tuesday, but he made his presence felt on offense after being involved in all but one of the team's goals. One of the best playmakers in the league when talking about blueliners, Heiskanen has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 14 games this season.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Gives up six goals to Ducks
Oettinger conceded six goals on 24 shots in a 7-5 loss to Anaheim on Thursday. The seventh marker was an empty-netter.
Oettinger gave up more goals in Thursday's tilt than his previous three outings combined. Still, the 26-year-old backstop is the clear No. 1 option in Dallas and figures to continue seeing a heavy workload all year. In the short term, Oettinger figures to split the upcoming back-to-back against the Predators and Kraken on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, with Casey DeSmith.

Stars' Emil Hemming: Collects three helpers
Hemming logged three assists in OHL Barrie's 6-2 win over Sudbury on Thursday.
Hemming has two goals and eight assists over four games since he was transferred from AHL Texas back to Barrie for the remainder of 2025-26. It appears the Finnish winger is caught between levels -- he's too good for junior hockey but not quite ready for the AHL. Look for the Dallas prospect to continue dominating for the Colts this year before going to Texas full-time in 2026-27.

Stars' Radek Faksa: Expected to return Thursday
Faksa (undisclosed) is good to play Thursday versus Anaheim, per Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars.
Faksa didn't play in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout victory over Edmonton because of his injury. He's set to play on the fourth line alongside Adam Erne and Colin Blackwell in his return. Capobianco, who was in the lineup Tuesday as the team's seventh defenseman, is set to be a healthy scratch against the Ducks, as Dallas shifts back to a more traditional split of 12 forwards and six blueliners.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Slated to play
Hintz (undisclosed) took line rushes during warmups and is expected to play Thursday versus the Ducks, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports.
Hintz is slated to return to the lineup after missing five games due to the injury. He'll see top-six minutes, but it's possible the Stars manage his usage a bit after the absence. The 28-year-old should also be part of the Stars' power-play plans.

Stars' Radek Faksa: Game-time call
Faksa (undisclosed) is a game-time decision against Anaheim on Thursday.
Faksa missed Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over Edmonton. He has a goal and four points in 12 appearances this season. Roope Hintz (undisclosed) is also regarded as a game-time call Thursday, so Dallas has multiple question marks. If Faksa and Hintz can't play, then the Stars are expected to dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen, which would result in Kyle Capobianco remaining in the lineup for a second straight game.

Stars' Matt Duchene: Not playing Thursday
Duchene (upper body) will sit out his ninth straight game Thursday against Anaheim, Dallas beat writer Robert Tiffin reports.
Duchene had a terrific 2024-25 season at the age of 33. He had 30 goals and 52 assists with 27 points coming via the power play, in 82 regular-season games. He had a goal and an assist in four appearances this season prior to sustaining his injury.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Tending twine Thursday
Oettinger will start Thursday's home game against the Ducks, Brien Rea of Victory+ reports.
Oettinger didn't appear in either of the Stars' last two games, but he'll return to the crease Thursday. The 26-year-old has had a solid start to the 2025-26 campaign, going 5-2-2 with a 2.54 GAA and .913 save percentage over nine appearances.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Deemed game-time decision
Hintz (undisclosed) is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup against Anaheim, Brien Rea of Victory+ reports.
Hintz has missed the last five games due to an undisclosed injury, but he'll be evaluated in the hours leading up to Thursday's puck drop and could be cleared to return to action. Even if he isn't given the green light Thursday, it wouldn't be surprising to see him suit up soon. Over eight appearances prior to his absence, he logged a goal, seven assists, five blocked shots, four hits and two PIM while averaging 19:01 of ice time.

Stars' Jamie Benn: Participates in optional skate
Benn (upper body) took part in the Stars' optional morning skate Thursday, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports.
Benn has been skating for nearly two weeks, but Thursday's morning skate was the first time that he was seen with the group since his surgery to repair a collapsed lung. It seems unlikely that he'll be available against the Ducks on Thursday, but he appears to be getting closer to returning to game action.
