Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Scores again Thursday
Sharangovich scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Blues.
Sharangovich has three points, including two goals, over his last three games. The 26-year-old has moved back to center while Connor Zary (lower body) is out, and Sharangovich has shown strong chemistry with Rory Kerins and Jakob Pelletier on the third line. For the season, Sharangovich has 14 points, 78 shots on net and a minus-6 rating through 37 outings, so he may be more of a streaming option unless he stays hot over a long stretch.

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Ambushed by Blues
Wolf made 25 saves in Thursday's 4-1 loss to St. Louis.
The Blues struck three times in the first period to put the game away, and Wolf probably wants another crack at the second one, a Colton Parayko blast from the blue line that went through the young goalie's five-hole. The loss snapped a three-start win streak for Wolf, but he's mostly been sharp over the last month, going 7-2-1 in his last 10 outings with a 2.19 GAA and .922 save percentage.

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Draws start Thursday
Wolf will patrol the visiting crease in St. Louis on Thursday, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Wolf has won his last three games and is 7-1-1 over his last nine starts, with a 1.99 GAA and a .929 save percentage. Overall, the Flames' No. 1 goaltender is 15-6-2 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.50 GAA and a .916 save percentage this year. He has finally come into his own as an NHL goalkeeper after he was considered one of the top goaltenders in the minors over the last three seasons. The Blues are averaging 2.80 goals per game, which ranks 24th in the NHL this season.

Flames' Tyson Barrie: Remains in press box
Barrie has not played in two months after being scratched for a 26th consecutive game Tuesday versus the Blues.
The Flames have carried eight defensemen for the bulk of the season, but head coach Ryan Huska hasn't given Barrie a game-day assignment since Nov. 12 versus the Canucks. Barrie is likely at the bottom of the depth chart, as Daniil Miromanov is more probable to get back in the lineup if an opportunity arises. The 33-year-old Barrie has two points and 12 shots on net through nine appearances in 2024-25.

Flames' Martin Pospisil: Banks apple in defeat
Pospisil notched an assist and doled out six hits in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Blues.
Pospisil set up Kevin Bahl's game-tying goal at 6:06 of the third period. This was Pospisil's first point through six games in January. He avoided supplemental discipline after being ejected Monday for a dangerous hit on Chicago's Taylor Hall. Pospisil makes his name in the physicality department, but he's chipped in two goals, 11 helpers and a plus-2 rating through 43 outings in 2024-25.

Flames' Kevin Bahl: Nets Calgary's lone goal in loss
Bahl found the back of the net on three shots and went plus-1 in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to St. Louis.
Bahl beat Jordan Binnington cleanly on the blocker side to tie the game at 1-1 early in the final frame, but that was all of Calgary's offense for the night. Bahl added three shots, three hits, one takeaway and one blocked shot in 20:33 of ice time. The 6-foot-6 blueliner has collected a point in back-to-back games after being held off the scoresheet in eight prior outings. The 24-year-old is at two goals, 14 points, 19 PIM, 49 shots on goal and a plus-2 rating through 43 appearances.

Flames' Dan Vladar: Held out of win column again
Vladar made 23 saves on 25 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to St. Louis.
Vladar didn't have much of a chance on the Blues' game-winning goal, as Radek Faksa perfectly redirected Tyler Tucker's point shot into the top right corner of the net. Vladar is mired in a five-game losing streak -- his last win was Dec. 10 against Nashville. The 27-year-old has a 6-9-5 record, .889 save percentage and 3.03 GAA through 20 appearances in 2024-25. Dustin Wolf has firmly taken over as Calgary's No. 1 netminder after he and Vladar shared the workload for much of the early portion of the season.

Flames' Dan Vladar: Starting Tuesday
Vladar will protect the road goal versus the Blues on Tuesday.
Vladar will handle the second half of a back-to-back after Dustin Wolf was in goal for Monday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks. This is the first of two games in a row between Calgary and St. Louis. Vladar has had mixed results on the road this year, going 3-4-3 with a 3.07 GAA and an .892 save percentage,

Flames' Kevin Rooney: Stuck in slump
Rooney was held off the scoresheet for the 13th consecutive game in Monday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Rooney hasn't recorded a point since he had a goal and an assist against the Predators on Dec. 10. The 31-year-old forward has maintained a steady spot as the Flames' fourth-line center this season, but his role is not a fantasy-friendly one. He has four points, 29 shots on net, 56 hits and a minus-5 rating while averaging just 9:48 of ice time through 34 appearances.

Flames' Brayden Pachal: Strong showing in win
Pachal posted an assist, five blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Monday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
The five blocks were a season high for Pachal, who has seen steady ice time in a bottom-four role. The 25-year-old defenseman has two points and a plus-4 rating over five contests in January. Overall, he's up to four points, 39 shots on net, 51 PIM, 96 hits, 48 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 42 appearances.

Flames' Kevin Bahl: Nabs helper in Monday's win
Bahl recorded an assist and two blocked shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Bahl set up the second of Jakob Pelletier's two goals in the contest. The 24-year-old Bahl ended an eight-game point drought with the helper. The defenseman hasn't been a huge factor on offense but has held onto a top-four role as a physical presence. He's up to 13 points, 46 shots on net, 61 hits, 67 blocked shots, 19 PIM and a plus-1 rating through 42 appearances, which is enough all-around production to be considered in deep fantasy formats.

Flames' Jake Bean: Finds twine Monday
Bean scored a goal and went plus-2 in Monday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
The goal was Bean's first point in eight games since the holiday break, and it stretched the Flames' lead to 4-1. The 26-year-old defenseman hasn't often gotten involved on offense while filling a third-pairing role this season. He's at two goals, three helpers, 31 shots on net, 21 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 29 appearances.

Flames' Mikael Backlund: Credited with goal
Backlund scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Backlund ultimately got the credit on the Flames' game-winner, as he was judged to get the last touch during a net-front scramble. The center has two goals over five outings in January, and he's produced seven points over his last 12 contests. That's a pretty standard level of production for Backlund, who is at 19 points, 112 shots and a plus-7 rating through 42 appearances this season.

Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Two-point effort in win
Sharangovich scored a shorthanded goal and added an even-strength assist in Monday's 5-2 win over Chicago.
Both points came in the second period as the Flames put the game away. Sharangovich produced his first multi-point performance since Nov. 21 and snapped a 15-game goal drought while skating on a line with Jakob Pelletier and Rory Kerins, who was making his NHL debut. The trio dominated with a combined three goals and seven points. Look for the unit to stay together when Calgary begins a two-game set in St. Louis on Tuesday.

Flames' Rory Kerins: Two helpers in NHL debut
Kerins picked up two assists in Monday's 5-2 win over Chicago.
Making his NHL debut, the 22-year-old flashed immediate chemistry on a line with Yegor Sharangovich and Jakob Pelletier, as the trio combined for three goals and seven points. Kerins was on fire at AHL Calgary prior to his promotion, erupting for a league-leading 21 goals and 34 points in 34 games, and the 2020 sixth-round pick doesn't seem inclined to slow down now that he's getting a crack at the top level.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Three points in Windy City
Pelletier scored two goals and added an assist in Monday's 5-2 win over Chicago.
Both tallies came in the first period as the Flames jumped out to a 3-1 lead. The three points were a career high for Pelletier, as were the two goals, and while the 2019 first-round pick still isn't a consistent offensive contributor, this performance could be the spark the 23-year-old needs to take a step forward in his development. Through 16 NHL appearances this season, he's collected three goals and eight points.
