Flyers' Jakob Pelletier: First point with new team
Pelletier produced an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Penguins.
This was Pelletier's second game with the Flyers since a Jan. 30 trade sent him from Calgary to Philadelphia. A lengthy visa process delayed his team debut, and he's settled into a bottom-six role early in his tenure with the club. Pelletier has 12 points, 33 shots on net, 26 hits, 15 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 26 appearances overall in 2024-25.

Flyers' Jakob Pelletier: Not available Saturday
Pelletier does not have his visa issues completed and will not be in the lineup versus Pittsburgh on Saturday, according to Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Pelletier will be replaced in the lineup by Jacob Gaucher. Pelletier had four goals and seven assists over 24 appearances with Calgary before being acquired by the Flyers on Jan. 30. He will be ready to go when the Flyers return from their two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off on Feb. 22 against Edmonton.

Flyers' Jakob Pelletier: Finally joins club
Pelletier has linked up with his new team ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Penguins.
Pelletier's debut with the Flyers has been delayed due to visa issues and travel delays, but the 23-year-old winger has finally arrived in Philadelphia and should be in the lineup for Saturday's contest. With Pelletier and Andrei Kuzmenko now in the fold, Jacob Gaucher figures to be sent back to AHL Lehigh Valley, while Rodrigo Abols could also be in line for a demotion.

Flyers' Jakob Pelletier: Not available Thursday
Pelletier (not injury related) will not be in the lineup versus Washington on Thursday, per Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Pelletier is unable to get to Philadelphia as his flight from Toronto was canceled Thursday due to weather. The 23-year-old was dealt from Calgary on Jan. 30 after picking up four goals and seven assists in 24 contests with the Flames. He will miss his fourth straight game with the Flyers, but head coach John Tortorella hopes that Pelletier can be in the lineup Saturday versus Pittsburgh.

Flyers' Jakob Pelletier: Unavailable Sunday
Pelletier (not injury related) won't be an option for Sunday's matchup versus the Avalanche, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Pelletier is on the Flyers' roster but unavailable to play because of a work visa issue. Andrei Kuzmenko won't play against Colorado for the same reason, but he isn't on the roster yet. Pelletier had four goals and 11 points in 24 games with Calgary this season before being traded to Philadelphia on Thursday.

Flyers' Jakob Pelletier: Dealt to Philadelphia
Pelletier was traded to the Flyers from the Flames on Thursday, along with Andrei Kuzmenko, a 2025 second-round pick and a 2028 seventh-round pick, in exchange for Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Pelletier is one of three players selected in the first round of their respective drafts to be moved in the deal. The 23-year-old has had a tumultuous season -- the Flames waived him out of training camp, and he cleared to begin with AHL Calgary, earning 19 points in 20 appearances. He followed it up with 11 points in 24 contests for the Flames before being removed from Thursday's game against the Ducks due to the impending trade. It doesn't appear that he has an injury concern -- the removal was strictly for trade purposes. Pelletier will likely begin in a middle-six role with the Flyers. He is a high-energy player who should have no problem living up to the standard head coach John Tortorella asks of all of his players, though there may be some growing pains initially since Pelletier is still a younger player.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Done for game
Pelletier will not return to Thursday's game versus the Ducks.
Normally, this would be considered an injury situation, but Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports the Flames and Flyers are working on a trade centered on Andrei Kuzmenko, so it can not be guaranteed that Pelletier is hurt. If it is an injury, Pelletier can be considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday's contest against the Red Wings. It's unclear who might enter the lineup for Pelletier in either case, as the Flames currently have just 13 forwards on the roster, including Kuzmenko, so a call-up may be coming.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Two-point effort in win
Pelletier scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, went plus-3 and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Pelletier began the game on the fourth line but also took some shifts alongside Jonathan Huberdeau and Nazem Kadri. With six points over his last five outings, Pelletier is certainly proving his worth and should be more than a standard bottom-six winger. He's up to four goals, seven assists, 28 shots on net, 17 hits and a plus-10 rating through 20 appearances this season, surpassing his combined 10 points over 37 contests across the previous two campaigns combined.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Three points in Windy City
Pelletier scored two goals and added an assist in Monday's 5-2 win over Chicago.
Both tallies came in the first period as the Flames jumped out to a 3-1 lead. The three points were a career high for Pelletier, as were the two goals, and while the 2019 first-round pick still isn't a consistent offensive contributor, this performance could be the spark the 23-year-old needs to take a step forward in his development. Through 16 NHL appearances this season, he's collected three goals and eight points.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Registers assist in win
Pelletier logged an assist and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Canucks.
Pelletier continues to chip in a little depth offense. He's played in 11 games this season, all in December, and he's earned a goal and four assists while mainly working on the third line. The 23-year-old winger has added 16 shots on net, seven hits and a plus-3 rating. Pelletier was selected in the first round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, and while he's yet to live up to that status at the NHL level, he's at least carving out a regular role after beginning 2024-25 in the AHL.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Posts helper in overtime loss
Pelletier notched an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.
Pelletier has three points over six appearances at the NHL level this season. The 23-year-old winger is seeing bottom-six minutes and minimal power-play time, but he could earn a larger role if he continues to find success. Pelletier was a first-round pick in 2019, so there's some hope that he'll get on track during this stay in the NHL, though he's also been regularly shuffled to and from the AHL since his first call-up of the season Dec. 2. This is likely to prevent him from reaching 30 days on the NHL roster, though if he plays in four more games, he would require waivers to head back to the minors anyway.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Brought up Monday
Pelletier was promoted from AHL Calgary on Monday.
Pelletier's recall will see him likely jump into the lineup for Tuesday's game against Boston. Additionally, the Flames brought up Walker Duehr, who was also sent down with Pelletier previously. Pelletier has logged five NHL games this year, logging one goal on five shots, one assist and four blocked shots while averaging 9:10 of ice time.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Back in bigs
Pelletier was called up from AHL Calgary on Thursday.
Pelletier was sent down Wednesday to relieve some salary cap space and was recalled along with Walker Duehr to give the Flames 12 healthy forwards ahead of Thursday's tilt with Tampa Bay. Pelletier has a goal and an assist in four NHL games this season, as well as three goals and 19 points in 20 AHL games.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Reassigned to AHL
Pelletier was demoted to AHL Calgary on Wednesday.
Since Walker Duehr was sent down with Pelletier on Wednesday, the Flames have just 10 healthy forwards on the roster, which is a good indication these are paper transactions that will be reversed prior to Thursday's matchup with Tampa Bay. For his part, the 23-year-old Pelletier has recorded one goal, one assist and five shots over four games for Calgary this season while averaging 8:08 of ice time.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Lights lamp in overtime loss
Pelletier scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Blues.
Pelletier has played the last two games, replacing Justin Kirkland (knee) on the fourth line. Kirkland is out for the year, so Pelletier will get an extended audition to prove himself at the NHL level after failing to make the roster out of camp. The 23-year-old is still seeing just fourth-line minutes, so his fantasy appeal is minimal until he gets a better spot in the lineup. Prior to this season, Pelletier had 10 points over his first 37 NHL appearances.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Recalled by Calgary
Pelletier was recalled from AHL Calgary on Monday.
Pelletier has been in the minors since the start of the regular season, tallying three goals, 16 assists and a plus-7 rating over 20 appearances with AHL Calgary. He'll provide additional depth for the Flames after Justin Kirkland (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Monday.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Going through waivers
Pelletier was put on waivers Sunday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Pelletier notched five goals and 12 points in 18 games with AHL Calgary in the 2023-24 regular season. The 23-year-old forward added one goal and two assists in 13 NHL regular-season outings with the Flames. He could be an attractive pickup option for teams scouring waivers for roster depth.

Flames' Jakob Pelletier: Inks one-year deal
Pelletier agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with Calgary on Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Pelletier has just 37 games of NHL experience under his belt in which he recorded four goals on 57 shots to go with two assists, 10 hits and three blocks. Even though he is sporting a two-way deal, Pelletier should still play the bulk of his games in the NHL this season -- albeit in a bottom-six capacity that is unlikely to come with power-play opportunities.
