  • Commanders' Dante Fowler: Logs full practice Wednesday

Fowler (groin) was a full participant in practice Wednesday.

Fowler was dealing with a hip injury in the lead-up to Washington's Week 13 win over Tennessee, but he was able to play in that contest, logging 62 percent of the team's defensive snaps. The veteran linebacker is now listed as having a groin issue following the Commanders' Week 14 bye, but his ability to practice in full Wednesday suggests he's not in danger of missing Sunday's matchup against New Orleans. Fowler leads Washington with 8.5 sacks on the campaign.

  • Commanders' K.J. Osborn: Claimed by Commanders

The Commanders claimed Osborn off waivers Wednesday.

The Patriots waived Osborn on Tuesday, moving forward with Kendrick Bourne and a slew of young players in their WR room. The Commanders jumped at the opportunity to add a veteran WR with considerable starting experience, having recently learned that Noah Brown is likely to miss the rest of the season with a kidney injury. Osborn doesn't profile as a one-for-one replacement, but he could end up being part of the plan to replace Brown, potentially splitting snaps with Olamide Zaccheaus, Dyami Brown and Luke McCaffrey behind No. 1 receiver Terry McLaurin.

  • Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Practices in full

Crowder (calf) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Crowder was placed on injured reserve in early October and has missed the Commanders' last 10 games due to a calf injury. However, he was designated to return Monday and has already practiced in full, suggesting he's nearly recovered from the issue. Despite Wednesday's full session, the veteran wideout must still be added to Washington's active roster in order to play in Week 15, when the Commanders travel to New Orleans.

  • Commanders' Zane Gonzalez: Dealing with foot injury

Gonzalez (foot) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

The Arizona State product appears to be dealing with a foot injury following the Commanders' Week 14 bye, as he was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Gonzalez's participation Thursday and Friday will likely offer the best insight into his potential availability for Sunday's matchup against the Saints. Look for the Commanders to add a kicker to their practice squad or active roster if Gonzalez can't suit up in Week 15.

  • Commanders' Marshon Lattimore: Full go for Wednesday

Lattimore (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Lattimore has yet to play for Washington since being traded from the Saints on Nov. 5, but his full practice session Wednesday suggests he's recovered from his hamstring injury in time to make his Commanders debut against his former team in Week 15. With Lattimore back at full health, he's expected to serve as one of Washington's starting outside cornerbacks Sunday.

  • Commanders' Quan Martin: Nursing shoulder issue

Martin (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Despite the Commanders having a Week 14 bye, Martin popped up on Wednesday's injury report with a shoulder issue. He likely sustained the injury in Washington's Week 13 win over the Titans, as he played just 45 defensive snaps, his lowest mark since Week 7. Martin's practice participation Thursday and Friday will likely provide the best indication of whether he can play in Sunday's matchup against the Saints.

  • Commanders' Noah Brown: Sidelined by kidney injury

Brown is expected to miss several weeks (and possibly the rest of the season) due to a kidney injury, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.

It initially was reported as a rib injury when Brown exited Washington's Week 13 win over the Titans. Coming out of a Week 14 bye, coach Dan Quinn revealed Wednesday that Brown is in danger of missing the rest of the season due to an internal injury. We now know it's a kidney injury -- likely a laceration that was caused by a cracked rib. With Brown out for at least the next few weeks, there's an opportunity for Dyami Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus and Luke McCaffrey to get more snaps alongside No. 1 receiver Terry McLaurin.

  • Commanders' Noah Brown: Out with potential season-ending injury

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said Wednesday that Brown (rib) is "going to be out for a while" with a "significant internal injury," Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.

Brown exited early in the Commanders' Week 13 win over the Titans with what had been listed as a rib injury, and after undergoing further testing over the team's Week 14 bye, the wideout is apparently dealing with a more severe issue than anticipated. Quinn didn't go into specifics regarding Brown's injury, though the coach noted that the 28-year-old receiver likely will be lost for the season, pending further evaluation. If that's the case, Brown's eighth professional campaign will come to an end with him having recorded 35 receptions for 453 yards and one touchdown on 56 targets over 11 games. In Brown's absence, more snaps could be available for Dyami Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus and Luke McCaffrey behind top wideout Terry McLaurin.
