Top Broncos News

  • Broncos' Patrick Surtain: Won't play vs. Chiefs

Surtain (pectoral) is officially listed as out for Sunday's game versus Kansas City.

Surtain will miss a third straight contest with a pectoral strain he suffered in Week 8 versus the Cowboys. Without him, Denver will probably have to lean more heavily on 2024 fifth-rounder Kris Abrams-Draine for corner reps on the boundary in Week 11.

  • Broncos' John Franklin-Myers: Set to play vs. Chiefs

Franklin-Myers (back) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game versus Kansas City.

Franklin-Myers popped up on Denver's injury report Thursday with a back issue, but he was able to get back to practicing in full Friday and will suit up in Week 11. He's on pace for a career year as a pass rusher, and he'll be looking to keep up that momentum Sunday.

  • Broncos' Jonah Elliss: Won't play vs. Kansas City

Elliss (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Elliss sustained a hamstring injury during the Broncos' Week 10 win over the Raiders. He was unable to practice this past week, and the second-year linebacker will be sidelined for Sunday's AFC West tilt. Dondrea Tillman and rookie fourth-rounder Que Robinson will serve as the Broncos' rotational outside linebackers behind Jonathan Cooper and Nik Bonitto in Elliss's absence.

  • Broncos' Nate Adkins: Won't play Week 11

Adkins (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Adkins will miss a third consecutive game due a knee injury that prevented him from participating in all three practices during Week 11 prep. Adam Trautman and Evan Engram will continue to serve as the Broncos' top tight ends on the active roster in Adkins' absence. With the Broncos on a bye for Week 12, Adkins will have more time to recover from his knee injury and try to be available for Week 13 against the Commanders on Sunday, Nov. 30.

  • Broncos' Alex Singleton: Not playing in Week 11

Singleton (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Chiefs, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Last Friday, Singleton underwent surgery for testicular cancer that was discovered the previous Monday. He proceeded to play last Thursday against the Raiders, logging all 60 defensive snaps en route to nine tackles, but he'll now miss at least one game as he embarks on his recovery effort, which doesn't have a firm timetable at this time, according to DiLalla. After Sunday, the Broncos have a Week 12 bye, meaning his next possible chance to play is Sunday, Nov. 30 at Washington.

  • Broncos' Jaleel McLaughlin: Set to rejoin backfield

McLaughlin is on track to rejoin the Broncos' backfield after J.K. Dobbins (foot) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

McLaughlin has been a healthy scratch for nine of the first 10 regular-season games, with his lone appearance coming in Week 6 against the Jets, when he played just six offensive snaps. However, with Dobbins sidelined for Sunday's AFC West tilt, McLaughlin will join rookie second-rounder RJ Harvey and Tyler Badie in the backfield. McLaughlin posted 572 scrimmage yards through 16 regular-season games in 2024 and could see some touches while spelling Harvey and Badie.

  • Broncos' Marvin Mims: Cleared for return Sunday

Mims (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Chiefs after practicing fully this week.

Mims is thus slated to see his first game action since Week 8, with his looming return bolstering a Denver WR corps that also features Courtland Sutton and Troy Franklin. In eight contests to date, Mims has caught 22 passes on 32 targets for 234 yards and a TD, a level of production that has limited his fantasy impact to deeper formats. He did have a pair of six-catch efforts in that span, but apart from that his output was modest in his other six outings.

  • Broncos' RJ Harvey: Set for RB1 role with Dobbins out

Harvey is set to lead the Broncos backfield Sunday against the Chiefs with J.K. Dobbins (foot) ruled out for the contest.

Dobbins emerged from last Thursday's win against the Raiders with a foot injury, and as of Tuesday, a move to injured reserve was considered a possibility for the sixth-year pro, per Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette. After Dobbins was ruled out for Week 11 action Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the running back was in line to be out for an extended period. Harvey has recorded 10 or more touches in a game only once so far in his career (18 in Week 4), but the rookie second-round pick has impressed at times, averaging 4.3 yards on his 43 rushes, gathering in 25 of 29 targets for 175 yards and scoring six TDs in 10 appearances. Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin are the other RBs on Denver's active roster.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Out Sunday, and possibly longer

Dobbins, who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, is believed to be sidelined for the foreseeable future due to a significant foot injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Per Rapoport, Dobbins is still working through his options, and while there's been no final determination, IR remains a possibility for the running back. In Dobbins' looming absence, 2025 second-rounder RJ Harvey is poised to lead Denver's backfield, with Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin slated to work behind him in complementary roles.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Still not practicing

Dobbins (foot) remained sidelined at practice Friday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.

Dobbins hasn't practiced this week and is trending toward being ruled out later Friday, per Tomasson. If that ends up being the case, 2025 second-rounder RJ Harvey would be in line to lead Denver's backfield Sunday against the Chiefs, with Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin available to work in complementary roles.
