Bengals' Tahj Brooks: Heading to Cincy
The Bengals selected Brooks in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 193rd overall.
Brooks was a four-year starter at Texas Tech, breaking the school record with 4,560 career rushing yards while posting back-to-back 1,500-yard seasons in his junior and sophomore seasons. He's a compact back with a 5-foot-9, 214-pound frame, and his tempo and vision allows him to navigate through defenses to pick up tough yards. Though he's not the fastest back in the draft, Brooks displayed his quickness at the NFL Combine with a 4.06-second shuttle time and 6.90-second three-cone time. Chase Brown (ankle) and Zack Moss (neck) are the Bengals' top two running backs, but Brooks will have a shot to compete against veteran Samaje Perine for the No. 3 job.

Bengals' Jalen Rivers: Added by Cincy in Round 5
The Bengals selected Rivers in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 153rd overall.
Rivers started his final three seasons at Miami and earned Honorable Mention All-ACC honors as a senior after claiming Second Team honors the year prior. While he played at both tackle and guard during his time with the Hurricanes, he projects to serve as a guard at the next level. Rivers will provide some depth along the offensive line for the time being with hopes of him developing into a contributor down the road.

Bengals' Barrett Carter: Lands with Cincinnati
The Bengals selected Carter in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 119th overall.
An inside linebacker prospect out of Clemson, Carter was a three-year starter in some excellent Tigers defenses. He can read, react and fire into the backfield with at least 9.5 tackles for loss in each of his years as a starter. Carter isn't a standout athlete but has plenty of high-level experience and can be a contributor in the Bengals' linebacking corps, especially as an insurance policy pending what happens with Germaine Pratt as he enters the final year of his deal.

Bengals' Dylan Fairchild: Bengals add guard in Round 3
The Bengals selected Fairchild in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 81st overall.
Fairchild (6-foot-5, 318 pounds) is a big guard but lacks the reach to play at tackle. Even if he lacks positional versatility, though, Fairchild would appear to have a good shot to emerge as a viable starting guard in the NFL. More specifically, Fairchild should compete for the starting left guard role in Cincinnati after starting at left guard and thriving for Georgia the last two years. Even though he's a big guard, Fairchild proved athletic in his combine testing, logging above-average marks in the 40-yard dash (5.24 seconds) and broad jump (111 inches).

Bengals' Demetrius Knight: Snagged by Bengals in second round
The Bengals selected Knight in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 49th overall.
Knight (6-foot-2, 235 pounds) is not a big linebacker, but he ran well at the combine (4.58-second 40-yard dash) and stood out as a starter at both South Carolina and Charlotte. Knight's athleticism should pay off in coverage and make him a viable three-down linebacker next to Logan Wilson. In the wake of Knight's selection, the Bengals might move on from Germaine Pratt, the team's other incumbent three-down linebacker.

Bengals' Shemar Stewart: Picked by Cincinnati 17th overall
The Bengals selected Stewart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 17th overall.
Stewart (6-foot-5, 267 pounds) is an extremely athletic lineman whose rare physical traits have yet to yield much production. The belief is that Stewart's collegiate production at Texas A&M was so badly muted because he played at a much heavier weight (around 290 pounds) and played with too many run-stopping responsibilities to show off his true potential as an edge rusher. At the lighter 267-pound weight, Stewart logged a 4.59-second 40-yard dash in addition to a 40-inch vertical and 131-inch broad jump -- all of which are easily blue-chip figures. If the Bengals move on from Trey Hendrickson, it would seem to set up Stewart to start as a rookie, but Stewart logged only 11 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in three years for the Aggies.
