  • Patriots' Ben Brown: Inks two-year extension

The Patriots signed Brown to a two-year extension worth up to $6.6 million on Tuesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

The base value of the deal is worth closer to $5 million, according to Reiss. Brown has appeared in all 15 games this season and has made a pair of starts at left guard. He's the Patriots' top interior reserve offensive lineman and is now under contract through the 2027 campaign.

  • Patriots' Ben Brown: Sticking with New England

The Patriots signed Brown (concussion) to a one-year, $1.3 million extension Thursday, Mark Daniels of MassLive.com reports.

Brown, who would have been an exclusive-rights free agent this offseason, served as the Patriots' starting center in all 10 of his regular-season appearances with the team in 2024. He spent the team's final two games on IR due to a concussion, but Brown figures to be fully healthy for the start of offseason activities.

  • Patriots' Ben Brown: Ending season on injured reserve

The Patriots placed Brown (concussion) on injured reserve Saturday, Chris Mason of The Springfield Republican reports.

Brown will miss the last two games of the regular season after being placed in the league's concussion protocol following the Patriots' Week 16 loss to the Colts. He started at center in all 10 games that he played in and will enter free agency in the offseason.

  • Patriots' Ben Brown: Sidelined for Week 18

Brown (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.

Brown sustained a concussion in the Patriots' Week 17 loss to the Chargers and was unable to clear the NFL's five-step protocol in time to suit up for the team's regular-season finale Sunday. With Brown sidelined in Week 18, Cole Strange is expected to shift over and start at center, while Layden Robinson will likely fill the void at left guard.

  • Patriots' Ben Brown: Downgraded to out for Saturday

Brown (concussion) was downgraded to out for Saturday's game against the Chargers.

Brown has started New England's last 10 contests at center, so this is a significant loss for the Patriots' undermanned offensive line. Brown's loss potentially opens the door for Cole Strange to start at center.

  • Patriots' Ben Brown: In concussion protocol

Brown (concussion) did not participate in Tuesday's practice.

Brown played every single offensive snap during the Patriots' 24-21 loss to the Bills this past Sunday and wasn't diagnosed with a concussion until after the game. He'll have to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol in order to play against the Chargers on Sunday. If Brown isn't cleared, Cole Strange (knee) could be the next man up to start at center for New England.

  • Bengals' Ben Brown: Recovered from injury

Brown has recovered from a biceps injury that forced him to miss the 2022 campaign and is No. 2 at left guard on the team's depth chart, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Brown joined Cincinnati as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss in 2022. However, he tore his biceps during training camp and spent last season on IR. Now healthy, Brown is working to earn a depth role on the team's offensive line.
