  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Back at practice Thursday

Irving (hip/back) was seen participating in the portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Irving sat out Wednesday's session due to a pair of injuries, but he looks poised to handle at least limited participation in Thursday's practice. The Buccaneers will release their second Week 14 injury report later Thursday, when the extent of Irving's activity will become known. In any case, Irving's ability to resume practicing in some fashion bodes well for his chances of being available Sunday versus the Raiders.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: RBs to Start

I made the wrong choice of Tampa Bay players as Start of the Week in Week 13 when I was deciding between Irving and Baker Mayfield, and Irving had a breakout performance at Carolina with 25 carries for 152 yards and a touchdown and three catches for 33 yards on three targets for 27.5 PPR points. He now has at least at least 15.4 PPR points in six of his past seven games, including three in a row, and he should stay hot against the Raiders in Week 14. Nine running backs have scored at least 15.5 PPR points against Las Vegas this season, and hopefully, Irving is fine with the hip injury he dealt with against the Panthers. If healthy, Irving has top-five upside in all leagues.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: No practice Wednesday

Irving was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice due to hip and back injuries. Irving was seen limping as the Buccaneers went to the locker room at halftime this past Sunday at Carolina and was deemed questionable to return at the start of the third quarter. He re-entered the contest and ended up pacing Tampa Bay with 25 carries for 152 yards and one touchdown, while adding three catches (on three targets) for 33 yards. Irving told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times on Monday that he was feeling much better one day removed from the game, but a pair of health concerns are affecting his practice reps to kick off Week 14 prep. Irving will have two more chances Thursday and Friday to put himself on a path to being available Sunday against the Raiders.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Downplays hip injury

Irving said Monday that he feels much better after he suffered a hip injury on a kickoff return during Sunday's 26-23 overtime win over the Panthers, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports. It's unclear if Irving sustained the injury on his 20-yard return at the end of the first half, or when he was back deep on two other occasions Sunday. The Buccaneers never formally ruled Irving out for the contest, but he curiously logged just one touch over the team's final three possessions, despite having run roughshod over the Carolina defense for most of the day. He still finished with a career-best performance, carrying 25 times for 152 yards and a touchdown to go with three catches for 33 yards on three targets. While Rachaad White remains involved out of the backfield, he's faded into more of a change-of-pace/passing-down role while Irving has emerged as the clear lead option on the ground. Irving has averaged at least 5.5 yards per carry in each of Tampa Bay's last three games, and so long as the hip issue isn't still nagging him by the time Sunday's game against the Raiders arrives, he'll profile as a must-start fantasy option in nearly every league.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Re-enters Sunday's game

Irving (hip) returned to Sunday's contest in Carolina, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. Irving was seen limping to the locker room for halftime and missed roughly the first five minutes of the third quarter, but he'll now have a chance to build upon the 10 touches for 50 yards from scrimmage that he managed in the first half. Aside from Irving, Rachaad White and Sean Tucker also are available to the Buccaneers backfield in Week 13.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Hurts hip Sunday

Irving sustained a hip injury during Sunday's game in Carolina. Per Greg Auman of Fox Sports, Irving was sporting a visible limp as the Buccaneers made their way to the locker room for halftime. Irving's stat line for the first half included nine carries for 32 yards and one catch (on one target) for 18 yards. Rachaad White and Sean Tucker are the other healthy running backs on the active roster.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: RBs to Start

Irving was amazing in Week 12 at the Giants with 12 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown and six catches for 64 yards on six targets. He's now scored at least 15.4 PPR points in five of his past six games, and he has at least three catches in five outings in a row. The Panthers are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, and eight running backs have scored at least 17.4 PPR points against Carolina this season. Irving has top-10 upside in all leagues, and I also like Rachaad White as a flex option in Week 13.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Standout efficiency in win

Irving rushed 12 times for 87 yards and a touchdown and brought in all six targets for 64 yards in the Buccaneers' 30-7 win over the Giants on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Tampa Bay. Irving turned in another signature ultra-efficient performance, gaining 50 more rushing yards than Rachaad White on the same number of carries while finishing with a team-high catch total and second in receiving yards. Irving also recorded his fifth rushing touchdown of the season on a six-yard run just past the halfway point of the second quarter, and both of his yardage totals represented new career highs. Irving should have a strong chance to put together a successful encore when he takes aim at the vulnerable Panthers rush defense in a Week 13 road battle.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Impressive rushing day in loss

Irving rushed 13 times for 73 yards and a touchdown and secured all three targets for 14 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-20 loss to the 49ers on Sunday. He also recovered a fumble. Irving outpaced Rachaad White by three carries and 42 rushing yards while adding his fourth rushing TD of the season on a 12-yard run early in the fourth quarter. Irving's carry total was the second highest of his young career, and he now has six straight games with multiple receptions. The 2024 fourth-round pick should enjoy a solid complementary role at minimum in a Week 12 road matchup against the Giants following a Week 11 bye.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Limited again Thursday

Irving (toe) was limited at Thursday's practice. Irving managed just one capped session last week due to a toe injury before suiting up Monday at Kansas City, so he appears to be in a better spot this week with a pair of them in two attempts. Friday's practice report may give a sense of his odds to suit up Sunday against the 49ers, and if he's able to do so, he'll continue to split RB reps with Rachaad White, while Sean Tucker gets a few scraps.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: RBs to Sit

I expected Irving to struggle in Week 9 at Kansas City, and he finished the game with seven carries for 24 yards and three catches for 10 yards on three targets. He should have another tough outing against the 49ers in Week 10, and Irving is only worth using as a flex option in most leagues. Rachaad White is the more trustworthy Tampa Bay running back, and he has scored at least 12.5 PPR points in three games in a row. But he's also just a flex against San Francisco, and the 49ers' run defense should be able to contain Irving and White in this matchup.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Begins week as limited

Irving (toe) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday. Last Thursday, head coach Todd Bowles revealed that Irving was dealing with a toe injury that may linger for the rest of the season, but the running back was able to suit up for Monday's overtime loss to Kansas City and turned his 10 touches into 34 yards from scrimmage. Meanwhile, backfield mate Rachaad White had six touches for 35 total yards and one rushing score, and Sean Tucker gained 17 yards on four touches. A similar breakdown for the trio likely will be the weekly reality as long as Irving continues to be able to play on game days.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Nets 80 all-purpose yards in loss

Irving rushed seven times for 24 yards and secured all three targets for 10 yards in the Buccaneers' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Monday night. He also returned one kickoff for 46 yards. Irving led the Buccaneers in rush attempts and rushing yards, with backfield mates Rachaad White and Sean Tucker recording just three carries apiece. The rookie also was just as involved as White in the passing game and looked good on his one kickoff return, and his versatile usage once again was a testament to the team's focus on getting the ball in his hands. Irving now has five straight games with multiple receptions, but the unpredictable division of labor in Tampa Bay's ground attack and a tough Week 10 matchup against the 49ers will continue to cap Irving's upside to an extent.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Suiting up Monday

Irving (toe) is listed as active Monday at Kansas City, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. When Irving showed up on the Buccaneers' Week 9 injury report Thursday, coach Todd Bowles told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times that the running back's toe injury was something the team will need to manage for the rest of the season. Irving proceeded to log only one limited session (Saturday) and left the weekend listed as questionable for Monday's game. With his availability now confirmed, he'll join forces with Rachaad White and Sean Tucker out of Tampa Bay's backfield. When all three players were active Weeks 7 and 8, Irving turned 18 carries into 67 yards and one touchdown and hauled in all 10 targets for 94 yards. Meanwhile, White had 27 touches, and Tucker was third with nine.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: At practice Saturday

Irving (toe) was present for practice Saturday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports. Irving missed practice Thursday and Friday as he continues to manage a toe issue, but his presence for Saturday's session bodes well for his availability for Monday night's game against the Chiefs. The Buccaneers' upcoming practice report will relay whether or not the running back carries a Week 9 injury designation.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Garners 84 total yards in loss

Irving (toe) rushed nine times for 44 yards and brought in all seven targets for 40 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-26 loss to the Falcons on Sunday. Irving overcame his questionable designation due to a toe injury to post a team-high rushing yardage total and also established a new career high in receptions. The rookie has also now logged at least nine carries in six consecutive contests, which, when combined with his relatively reliable pass-catching role, affords him a solid fantasy floor despite the timeshare with Rachaad White. Irving should be in even better health for a Week 9 road showdown against the Chiefs on Monday night, Nov. 4.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Suiting up Sunday

Irving (toe) is listed as active Sunday against the Falcons, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. The rookie fourth-round pick thus will be available as part of a three-pronged backfield along with Rachaad White and Sean Tucker. Through seven contests this season, Irving is averaging 67.9 yards from scrimmage per game and has scored three rushing touchdowns.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Expected to play Week 8

Irving (toe), who is questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta, is expected to suit up, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Irving sat out practices Wednesday and Thursday before turning in a limited practice Friday, which appears to be enough for him to take the field against the Falcons. The rookie running back is officially questionable for the contest, though head coach Todd Bowles has expressed optimism this week that Irving will be able to suit up. If he does indeed play, Irving is expected to be part of a three-man committee in Tampa Bay's backfield along with Rachaad White and Sean Tucker.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Questionable, but likely to play

Irving (toe) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons, but Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that the running back is likely to play Week 8, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports. After he was listed as a non-participant on practice reports issued Wednesday and Thursday, Irving helped assuage some of the concern about his health by practicing Friday as a limited participant. Bowles also allayed some more fears about Irving's injury, noting that the rookie isn't dealing with turf toe and should be good to go for Sunday, "barring anything happening." Official word on his status should arrive when Tampa Bay releases its inactive list 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, but even if Irving suits up, he'll likely find himself as part of a three-man committee out of the backfield with Rachaad White and Sean Tucker. The arrangement could end up suppressing the fantasy value of all three backs.

  • Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Sitting out another practice

Irving (toe) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Irving has opened Week 8 prep with two straight absences from practices, potentially putting his availability for Sunday's game against the Falcons in peril. The Buccaneers went with a three-man committee at running back in the team's Week 7 loss to the Ravens, but if Irving ends up sitting out against Atlanta, more snaps and touches would be available for both Rachaad White and Sean Tucker.
