  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Perseveres in inclement weather

Stafford completed 16 of 27 passes for 160 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed four times for 18 yards in the Rams' 12-6 win over the 49ers on Thursday night. Stafford didn't look anywhere near as sharp as he had just four days earlier in a track meet against Josh Allen and the Bills, but wet conditions throughout the night certainly played a role. However, the veteran persevered through less-than-ideal circumstances and continued to display a prolific connection with Puka Nacua, with whom he connected on seven occasions for 97 yards. The biggest offensive play of the night also transpired between the two, as Stafford hit the standout receiver for a 51-yard completion to open a late fourth-quarter drive that culminated in a field goal. The veteran signal-caller did see a four-game streak of multiple touchdown passes come to an end, but he has the Rams in solid shape at 8-6 heading into a Week 16 road battle against the Jets on Sunday, Dec. 22.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Nearly perfect against Bills

Stafford completed 23 of 30 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 44-42 win over the Bills. Despite the score and the stat line of Josh Allen, the Rams prioritized their running game. That limited Stafford's passing volume, but he made up for that by averaging 10.7 yards per attempt while completing four passes of more than 20 yards. He also found the end zone on passes of 17 and 19 yards to Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, respectively. Stafford now has multiple scores in four straight games with no interceptions, though this was his first 300-yard performance since Week 1.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Gets in full practice Wednesday

Stafford (ankle) was a full practice participant Wednesday. When head coach Sean McVay touched on Stafford's status Monday, he relayed that the quarterback was dealing with a lateral ankle sprain, but he wasn't expected to have any restrictions in practice, per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic. The Rams' first Week 14 injury report confirmed as much, setting Stafford up to continue to lead the Los Angeles offense. He's tossed multiple touchdowns in five of the last six games on his way to a 14:3 TD:INT during that stretch.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Dealing with minor ankle sprain

Stafford suffered a lateral ankle sprain in Sunday's Week 13 win over New Orleans, but neither his practice nor game status this week is expected to be affected, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Rams coach Sean McVay didn't seem concerned Monday when mentioning Stafford's ankle issue, suggesting that the star quarterback wouldn't be restricted in practice this week or in this coming Sunday's matchup against Buffalo. A lateral sprain is the most common type of ankle sprain and occurs on the outside of the ankle, and Stafford's sprain seems to be relatively minor. The injury likely occurred in the second quarter of Sunday's victory, as Stafford was seen limping a few plays prior to sneaking for four yards on a fourth-down conversion.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Rallies Rams for crucial victory

Stafford completed 14 of 24 pass attempts for 183 yards and two touchdowns while taking four carries for three yards in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Saints. Stafford orchestrated a pair of fourth-quarter drives that resulted in touchdown passes to Demarcus Robinson (hand) and Puka Nacua, helping lift the Rams back to a .500 record on the season. The 36-year-old Stafford attempted his second-fewest passing attempts of the campaign, but he still helped fantasy managers with his fifth multi-score game over his last six appearances. Stafford and the Rams will prepare to host the Bills in Week 14 when the cross-conference squads meet next Sunday.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: QBs to Start

Stafford got a late touchdown in Week 12 against Philadelphia to score 23.2 Fantasy points, and he has now scored at least 21.9 points in four of his past five games. Two of the past four quarterbacks against the Saints have scored at least 28.1 Fantasy points, and I consider Stafford a borderline starter most weeks when Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp are on the field.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Puts up stats in losing effort

Stafford completed 24 of 36 pass attempts for 243 yards and two touchdowns while taking his only carry for 15 yards in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Eagles. Stafford was unable to replicate his four-touchdown performance against the Patriots from a week ago, but he still posted solid fantasy numbers despite Sunday's lopsided score. The veteran signal-caller has been on a tear of late, ripping off 12 touchdowns over his last five contests following a slow start to the campaign. Stafford should continue serving as a dependable fantasy option as the Rams prepare to visit the Saints next Sunday.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: QBs to Sit

Stafford is more of a bust alert than a must-sit quarterback since he's playing well coming into Week 12. He scored at least 21.9 Fantasy points in three of his past four games, including a season-high 35.8 points at New England in Week 11. But now he faces a tough test against the Eagles, who are No. 5 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Only three quarterbacks have scored at least 20 Fantasy points against Philadelphia this season and none since Week 4. And the Eagles have held Joe Burrow (14.9 Fantasy points) and Jayden Daniels (15.4 points) to minimal production in the past four weeks. Stafford is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Sleeper QBs

Stafford was a major letdown in Week 10 against Miami with 9.7 Fantasy points despite 46 pass attempts. He's attempted 90 passes in the past two games, and hopefully, he keeps throwing a lot in Week 11 at New England. The Patriots have allowed three of the past five opposing quarterbacks to score at least 21.3 Fantasy points, and I like Stafford as a low-end starter in all leagues for Week 11.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: No TDs on 46 attempts

Stafford completed 32 of 46 pass attempts for 293 yards, no touchdowns and one interception while gaining no yards on his only carry in Monday's 23-15 loss to the Dolphins. Stafford also lost 13 yards on two of his own fumble recoveries, but the interception was the only logged turnover Monday. The 36-year-old hit a road block in a matchup that could have provided fruit for fantasy managers. Stafford has thrown for 2,262 yards (66 percent completion rate) with nine touchdowns to nine turnovers through nine games this season, making for an average fantasy option on a per-game standard. The Rams will look to get back on track in a road matchup against the Patriots on Sunday.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: QBs to Start

We got a little lucky that Stafford scored 21.9 Fantasy points in Week 9 at Seattle because his second of two touchdowns came in overtime. That said, Stafford was also unlucky that Puka Nacua was ejected in the first half for throwing a punch. Nacua and Cooper Kupp will be on the field against the Dolphins, and that receiver combination puts Stafford in play as a top-10 Fantasy option in Week 10. Miami has also allowed the past two opposing quarterbacks to score at least 26.2 Fantasy points.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Solid effort in OT win

Stafford completed 25 of 44 pass attempts for 298 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 26-20 overtime win versus Seattle. Stafford's second passing touchdown sent the Rams home with a victory over a division rival after connecting with Demarcus Robinson in overtime. The veteran quarterback couldn't replicate last week's four-touchdown performance, but he still finished with his second-highest yardage total of the season. Stafford is slowly climbing his numbers back up to previous norms heading into next Monday's tilt against the Dolphins.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Week 9 Waiver Priority List

Stafford played his first full game with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp in Week 8 against Minnesota, and he scored 32.8 Fantasy points. Last season, Stafford scored at least 22.5 Fantasy points in four of his final five games when his receiving corps was healthy, and hopefully, he's about to get hot. He has a great upcoming schedule against Seattle, Miami, and New England, and he's worth adding for at least 10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Four-touchdown performance Thursday

Stafford completed 25 of 34 passes for 279 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in the Rams' 30-20 win over the Vikings on Thursday night. He also rushed three times for minus-4 yards. Stafford had a banner night across the board, clearly benefiting from the return of both Puka Nacua (knee) and Cooper Kupp (ankle) to the field. The duo predicably served as Stafford's top targets, accounting for 12 of the quarterback's completions, 157 of his yards and one of his touchdown passes (Kupp). Stafford also hit Demarcus Robinson for scoring tosses of 25 and 10 yards in the second half, and his first end-zone strike of the night went to Kyren Williams from five yards out. Stafford's passing yardage was his second highest of the campaign and game also marked his first multi-touchdown tally of the season, affording the veteran signal-caller plenty of momentum heading into a Week 9 road showdown against the division-rival Seahawks on Sunday, Nov. 3.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Struggles despite earning team win

Stafford (back) completed 14 of 23 pass attempts for 154 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 20-15 win over the Raiders. Stafford entered this contest dealing with a sore back, but he had the bye week to rest and did not appear limited Sunday. The veteran quarterback simply cruised in the back seat while the running game (both touchdowns) and defense (four takeaways) drove Los Angeles to its second victory of the year. Stafford's low-use game marked the first time this season that he has failed to reach 200 passing yards. With just three touchdowns to six turnovers through six weeks, Stafford makes for a middling fantasy option in a tough matchup against Minnesota on Thursday Night Football in Week 8.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Week 7 Waiver Priority List

I'm hopeful that Stafford gets Cooper Kupp (ankle) back in Week 7 against the Raiders, and then we can trust Stafford as a low-end starter in all leagues. Even without Kupp, you might consider using Stafford against Las Vegas at home since the Raiders have allowed three of the past four quarterbacks (Andy Dalton in Week 3, Bo Nix in Week 5 and Justin Fields in Week 6) to score at least 23.7 Fantasy points. Only Deshaun Watson failed to take advantage of this matchup, so Stafford is worth using as a sleeper, especially if Kupp is back. Stafford should be added for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Back no longer bothersome

Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Stafford (back) is "doing great, and he's not going to miss any time," Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports. Stafford was dealing with back soreness after the 24-19 Week 5 loss to the Packers, but a well-timed Week 6 bye provided ample time for the veteran quarterback to recover. While Stafford will be available for Sunday's game against the Raiders, the Rams are expected to remain without wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee), while the status of wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) still is up in the air.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Pads stats late

Stafford completed 29 of 45 passes for 260 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 24-19 loss to the Packers. The contest got off to a strange start for Stafford, as the Rams' offense struggled to get going through the air. That was clear during the team's lone touchdown drive in the first two quarters, as he attempted only three passes that went for just 12 yards. However, things opened up in the second half with the Packers jumping out to a multi-score lead, and Stafford responded with five completions for double-digit gains. While he's making the most of his situation as the team plays without several offensive linemen as well as Puka Nacua (knee) and Cooper Kupp (ankle), Stafford has yet to throw for multiple touchdowns in a game this season.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: So-so numbers in Week 4 defeat

Stafford completed 20 of 29 passes for 224 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while netting minus-1 yard on his only rush attempt. He also lost a fumble. Stafford once again was playing with a makeshift receiving corps in the absence of Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Puka Nacua (IR, knee), which makes his final numbers more than serviceable. However, the veteran signal-caller simply couldn't generate enough scoring drives, and he also fumbled at his own 13-yard line midway through the second quarter to set up a short Bears touchdown drive. Stafford showed plenty of chemistry with Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington in particular (a combined 10-144-0 line on 14 targets).

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Spurs compact victory

Stafford completed 16 of 25 pass attempts for 221 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Rams. Stafford struggled at times against the 49ers' loaded defense, but the veteran persevered to lead his offense into field-goal range in the closing moments of Sunday's victory. The 36-year-old has provided mixed results from the pocket after losing his top two receiving options in consecutive weeks to begin the season. Stafford's lack of production as a rusher (zero attempts through three weeks) makes him a middling fantasy option heading into a matchup against Chicago on Sunday.
