Wizards' Bub Carrington: Back in starting unit
Carrington is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Knicks.
Carrington has been moving in and out of the bench of late, but he'll be part of the first unit in this one with Khris Middleton (ankle) sidelined. Carrington is averaging 9.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game in his five starts this month.

Wizards' Marcus Smart: Set to play Saturday
Smart (finger) isn't on the injury report for Saturday's game versus the Knicks.
Smart will return to action Saturday after missing the first leg of Washington's back-to-back due to a finger issue. The 21-year-old guard is averaging 9.8 points, 3.0 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 19.2 minutes across 10 appearances for the Wizards.

Wizards' Khris Middleton: Won't play Saturday
Middleton (ankle) is out for Saturday's game versus the Knicks.

Wizards' Tristan Vukcevic: Makes presence felt off bench
Vukcevic produced 17 points (5-10 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals across 21 minutes during Friday's 120-105 loss to the Magic.
Vukcevic returned to his regular bench role after starting in the loss to Utah on Wednesday, but the change in role didn't affect his production. This was the third straight game in which he reached the 17-point plateau, and the big man could carve a nice role in the rotation ahead of the final weeks of the regular season, especially if the Wizards decide to give some more rest to the likes of Alex Sarr and even Richaun Holmes. Vukcevic is playing on a two-way deal but has made only 24 appearances at the NBA level, so he won't face the limitations other two-way players might have in the final weeks of the regular season.

Wizards' Alex Sarr: Thriving from three-point range
Sarr notched 19 points (7-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 28 minutes during Friday's 120-105 loss to Orlando.
Sarr was productive on both ends of the court and recorded a double-double for the third time over his last eight appearances, so the progress the rookie has been making of late is noticeable. One area in which he's improved massively is his outside shooting, and he's getting more comfortable playing on the perimeter. In fact, Sarr has drained two or more threes in five games in a row, a span in which he's averaging 22.8 points per game while shooting an impressive 47.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Wizards' Jordan Poole: Scores 18 points in loss
Poole chipped in 18 points (7-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Friday's 120-105 loss to Orlando.
Poole didn't do much outside of scoring, and the veteran guard isn't bringing much to the table for a reeling Wizards team already thinking about the 2025-26 season. Poole's struggles have been noticeable in recent games, too. He's gone seven straight games without reaching the 20-point plateau, and he's shooting just 40.7 percent from the floor, and 34.5 percent from three-point range, over that stretch.

Wizards' Tristan Vukcevic: Back to bench role
Vukcevic is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Magic.
Vukcevic notched 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds and two blocks over 21 minutes during Wednesday's 128-112 loss to Utah, but he returns to the bench due to the Wizards employing a different starting lineup. Vukcevic is averaging 7.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per game across 23 appearances (one start) this season.

Wizards' Justin Champagnie: Will start vs. Orlando
Champagnie will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Magic.
Champagnie will make his 19th start of the 2024-25 campaign for the Wizards on Friday. As a starter, the 23-year-old forward is averaging 11.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 52.2 percent from the floor and 39.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Wizards' Bub Carrington: Returning to bench
Carrington isn't in the starting five for Friday's game versus the Magic.
Carrington started in Washington's previous outing but will head back to the bench with Khris Middleton and Kyshawn George returning to the lineup. Carrington is averaging 8.9 points, 3.7 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 24.9 minutes across his last 10 appearances coming off the bench.

Wizards' AJ Johnson: Retreating to bench
Johnson will come off the bench in Friday's game against the Magic.
The rookie first-round pick will slide to the bench due to Khris Middleton (ankles) returning to the starting five. Johnson started in each of the club's last two outings, totaling 20 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, two steals and one block across 63 minutes.

Wizards' Saddiq Bey: Returns to parent club
The Wizards recalled Bey (knee) from the G League's Capital City Go-Go on Friday.
Bey has yet to suit up this season after tearing his left ACL in March of 2024. While Bey appears to be gearing up toward a return to action, it's unclear if he will suit up before the end of the regular season.

Wizards' Saddiq Bey: Assigned to G League
Washington assigned Bey to the G League's Capital City Go-Go on Friday, Josh Robbins reports.
Bey tore his left ACL in March of 2024, and after a year of rehab, he could be on the verge of a return. Bey is scheduled to practice in the G League on Friday and Saturday, and if his knee responds well, he could potentially make his return to the court at some point in April.

Wizards' Marcus Smart: Won't play against Orlando
Smart is listed as out for Friday's game versus the Magic due to right index finger partial extensor hood tear injury management.
Smart will miss the first leg of Washington's back-to-back Friday due to a right index finger issue. Bub Carrington will likely receive increased playing time in his absence. Smart's next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with the Knicks.

Wizards' Kyshawn George: Available vs. Orlando
George (knee) has been cleared to play in Friday's game against the Magic.
After missing Wednesday's loss to the Jazz, George will get back on the floor to face Orlando on Friday. The 20-year-old rookie is averaging 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game this season, shooting 36.9 percent from the floor and 32.4 percent from deep.

Wizards' Khris Middleton: Good to go against Orlando
Middleton (ankles) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game versus the Magic.
Middleton will return to action Friday after missing Washington's previous contest due to bilateral ankle injury management. The veteran forward has struggled with his outside shot as of late, converting just 24.2 percent of his 3.3 three-point attempts per game across his last 10 appearances.
