  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Scores 14 points in team debut

Grimes tallied 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two assists, two rebounds and one block over 28 minutes during Friday's 125-112 loss to the Pistons.

Grimes made his 76ers debut Friday after being traded by the Mavericks on Tuesday, and the fourth-year wingman led the bench in both minutes and points. Grimes should have a sizeable reserve role with Philadelphia as a depth wing behind Paul George and Kelly Oubre.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Team-high 27 points Friday

Maxey tallied 27 points (9-20 FG, 4-10 3PT, 5-6 FT), seven assists, three rebounds and two steals over 39 minutes during Friday's 125-112 loss to Detroit.

Friday broke Maxey's seven-game streak of scoring 30-plus points, but the All-Star guard still managed to pace the 76ers in a game that saw Philadelphia down by as many as 34 points. Maxey is averaging a career-best 27.8 points per game this season, but since the beginning of January that number has jumped to 30.2 points per game on 46.8 percent shooting, along with 7.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals over 39.1 minutes per contest.

  • 76ers' Joel Embiid: Scores 20 points in third quarter

Embiid finished Friday's 125-112 loss to the Pistons with 23 points (7-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 8-10 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and two blocks over 30 minutes.

Embiid was limited to just three points in the first half as the 76ers found themselves down by as many as 34 points. The former MVP came out firing out of halftime, scoring 20 points in the third quarter while going 6-for-8 from the field, though he wasn't able to carry that momentum into the fourth quarter. Embiid has played in two of the Sixers' last three games, and how his left knee responds over the next couple of days will determine whether he'll be available for Sunday's game against the Bucks.

  • 76ers' Andre Drummond: Returning to action Friday

Drummond (toe) is available for Friday's game against Detroit, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Drummond will snap an eight-game absence streak due to a left toe injury and suit up Friday. It wouldn't come as a surprise if the veteran big man operates under a minutes restriction, meaning Adem Bona could see extended run behind Drummond and Joel Embiid with Guerschon Yabusele (knee) on the shelf.

  • 76ers' Guerschon Yabusele: Ruled out Friday

Yabusele (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Detroit, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports.

Yabusele will miss his first game in over two weeks due to right knee soreness. His next chance to play will come Sunday against the Bucks. With the big man sidelined and Andre Drummond (toe) listed as questionable, Adem Bona could see an uptick in playing time behind Joel Embiid.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Playing Friday against Detroit

Head coach Nick Nurse said that Grimes (recently traded) will play against the Pistons on Friday, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Grimes was traded by the Mavericks to the 76ers along with a 2025 second-round pick Tuesday in exchange for Caleb Martin. Grimes will make his Sixers debut Friday after not playing against Dallas on Wednesday. Grimes started in 12 of 47 games of the Mavericks prior to the trade and was averaging 10.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists over 22.8 minutes per game. He gives the Sixers depth on the wing behind Kelly Oubre and Paul George.

  • 76ers' Andre Drummond: Questionable against Detroit

Drummond (toe) has been listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Pistons, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Drummond could be inching closer to getting back on the floor for the 76ers after missing the last eight games with a toe injury. The 31-year-old was initially listed as doubtful to face the Pistons but was surprisingly upgraded to questionable. He's been in and out of the lineup since Christmas Day, which has paved the way for more time for French import Guerschon Yabusele.

  • 76ers' Guerschon Yabusele: Questionable against Pistons

Yabusele (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pistons.

Although the 76ers are getting healthier, Yabusele's absence would be a significant loss Friday. The veteran big man has averaged 16.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.6 threes in 31.4 minutes while shooting 41.9 percent from beyond the arc across his last eight outings (seven starts). If Yabusele sits out Friday, Justin Edwards and Eric Gordon would likely soak up additional minutes in Philadelphia's rotation.

  • 76ers' Joel Embiid: Available against Detroit

Embiid (knee) has been cleared to play in Friday's game against the Pistons.

After missing 16 of the last 17 games for the 76ers, Embiid did not appear on the injury report for Philadelphia, making him available to play Friday in Detroit. In his first game back from the extended absence, the one-time NBA MVP recorded a triple-double in Tuesday's win against the Mavericks, finishing with 29 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal. This is a promising sign for the team, as the superstar big man might be back to form quicker than anticipated.

  • 76ers' Chuma Okeke: Joins Philadelphia on 10-day deal

Okeke agreed to a 10-day contract with the 76ers on Thursday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.

Okeke spent four years with the Magic for a total of 189 appearances. He's since been playing for the Westchester Knicks in the G League. The 76ers have a number of injuries right now, so Okeke could provide the team with some emergency depth up front.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Expected to play

Grimes (recently traded) is expected to play Friday against Detroit, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

The trade with Dallas involving Caleb Martin is official with the NBA, making Grimes eligible to debut for the 76ers. He's likely to have a sizable role with his new team on the wing. He was productive in Dallas with 10.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 22.8 minutes per game.

  • 76ers' Jared Butler: Headed to Philadelphia

The Wizards traded Butler and four second-round picks to the 76ers in exchange for Reggie Jackson and a 2026 first-round pick, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Butler was on a two-way deal in Washington, averaging 6.9 points, 2.6 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 11.3 minutes across 32 NBA appearances. However, the 24-year-old guard will now likely compete for depth minutes in Philadelphia's backcourt behind Tyrese Maxey and Kyle Lowry.

  • 76ers' Kelly Oubre: Records double-double

Oubre amassed 15 points (6-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, one block and two steals across 40 minutes during Wednesday's 108-101 loss to Miami.

Oubre recorded a double-double for the second time over his last three outings and the fourth time over his last eight contests. His two-way ability has provided a huge boost for a depleted 76ers team that has dealt with tons of injuries all season long. A productive veteran who can be reliable if given enough minutes, he's averaging a solid line of 18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game in that eight-game stretch.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Scores 31 points Wednesday

Maxey chipped in 31 points (11-28 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, five assists and four steals in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 108-101 loss to the Heat.

Maxey extended his impressive stretch with games of at least 30 points to seven contests, and he's been doing the heavy lifting on offense in a season where Joel Embiid (knee) and Paul George have missed considerable time due to injuries. Maxey is averaging a robust stat line of 34.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game during that aforementioned seven-game stretch.

  • 76ers' Adem Bona: Productive in limited minutes

Bona had 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and one steal over 18 minutes during Wednesday's 108-101 loss to the Heat.

Bona scored in double digits for the first time since Jan. 19, when he posted 10 points and six rebounds in a start versus the Bucks. Bona might have some productive outings here and there, but his fantasy appeal won't be very high since he's the fourth-string center for the 76ers behind Joel Embiid (knee), Guerschon Yabusele and Andre Drummond (toe).

  • 76ers' Paul George: Muted production in return

George (finger) logged nine points (3-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three steals, two assists, one rebound and one block across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 108-101 loss to Miami.

George tore a tendon in his left pinkie finger and missed five consecutive games before suiting up Wednesday. Though the 76ers didn't ease him back in with a light workload, George exhibited some rust and said after the game that he'll need to wear a brace to protect the injured finger for at least six weeks, per Derek Bodner of AllPHLY.com. The 34-year-old forward has endured an injury-plagued first season in Philadelphia, appearing in 31 of the 76ers' 50 games while averaging 16.9 points (on 42.5 percent shooting from the field), 5.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 2.5 three-pointers and 1.8 steals in 32.0 minutes per game.
