  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Leads from deep in Game 2 win

Garland posted 15 points (5-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four assists, three rebounds and one steal over 32 minutes in Cleveland's 96-86 win over Orlando in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series.

Garland had a strong showing from deep in Cleveland's second straight victory to begin the series, connecting on a team-high mark from three while handing out a team-high-tying assist total and ending as one of four Cavaliers with 15 or more points. Garland has provided a nice boost for Cleveland through two games in the first round, posting at least 14 points, four assists and three rebounds in two straight outings.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Owns boards in 20-rebound game

Allen finished with 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-8 FT), 20 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals over 39 minutes in Cleveland's 96-86 win over Orlando in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series.

Allen did it all to help Cleveland take a commanding 2-0 series lead, leading all players in Monday's contest in rebounds while pacing the Cavaliers in blocks to go along with a pair of steals in a double-double performance. Allen has owned the glass over the first two games of the opening-round series, recording at least 18 rebounds and a double-double in both contests.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Top scorer in Game 2 victory

Mitchell tallied 23 points (9-22 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 36 minutes in Cleveland's 96-86 win over Orlando in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series.

Mitchell once again led Cleveland offensively in another victory in the opening-round series, finishing with a game-high scoring total while handing out a team-high-tying quartet of assists and ending two boards shy of a double-double. The Cavaliers will continue to ride Mitchell's offensive firepower in the postseason, with Mitchell posting at least 23 points in both games of the first round thus far.

  • Cavaliers' Ty Jerome: Remains out

Jerome (ankle) has been ruled out for Game 2 of the opening-round series against the Magic on Monday.

Jerome hasn't played since Oct. 27 and underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle in late January. He doesn't have a return timetable.

  • Cavaliers' Dean Wade: Won't play Game 2

Wade (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 2 against Orlando.

Wade's next opportunity to take the court comes with additional rest, as the series switches to Orlando for Game 3 on Thursday. He hasn't played since March 8 due to a right knee sprain, and the Cavaliers haven't indicated that Wade is likely to be ready to suit up at any point during the series.

  • Cavaliers' Craig Porter: Out to start postseason

Porter (ankle) has been ruled out for Game 2 of the opening-round series against the Magic on Monday.

Porter continues to work his way back from a left ankle sprain he suffered during the regular-season finale. Even if he's cleared soon, the rookie isn't guaranteed a role in the postseason rotation.

  • Cavaliers' Sam Merrill: Handles light role in series opener

Merrill (neck) was held scoreless (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt) with two rebounds and one assist in four minutes Saturday in the Cavaliers' 97-83 win over the Magic in Game 1 of the first-round playoff series.

Merrill had missed the Cavaliers' final three games of the regular season with a neck strain, but he was back in action for the playoff opener. The fourth-year wing was barely able to hold down a spot in head coach J.B. Bickerstaff's rotation, however, as Merrill played just four minutes in the second quarter and didn't check into the contest at any point in the second half.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Delivers monster double-double

Allen finished Saturday's 97-83 victory over the Magic in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 FT), 18 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 35 minutes.

Allen and Evan Mobley formed a devastating tandem in the frontcourt, and Allen made his presence felt on the glass due to his length and tenacity defensively. Allen recorded his fifth double-double over his last six appearances, and the big man should continue to perform at a high level in a favorable matchup.

  • Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Impressive on both ends Saturday

Mobley closed with 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 36 minutes during Saturday's 97-83 win over the Magic in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Mobley recorded only his second double-double since the beginning of April, but there's no question he did when it mattered the most. The promising big man averaged career-high marks in both rebounds and assists per game during the 2023-24 regular season, and while he holds a secondary role in the offensive scheme, he's putting up solid numbers in the scoring column as well. Mobley averaged 16.0 points per game over his final 12 regular-season appearances.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Leads Cavs to Game 1 victory

Mitchell posted 30 points (11-21 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, three assists and three steals in 36 minutes during Saturday's 97-83 win over the Magic in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

The Cavaliers delivered a strong showing on both ends of the court Saturday and had several standout performers, but Mitchell made his presence felt in the scoring column with a game-high 30 points. Mitchell also surpassed the 30-point mark in his last regular-season appearance, and he'll aim to deliver another strong performance in Game 2 of the series Monday. After all, the Cavaliers will only go as far as Mitchell can carry them.

  • Cavaliers' Isaac Okoro: Back to bench

Okoro will return to a reserve role in Saturday's Game 1 versus the Magic.

Okoro got a spot start in Cleveland's final game of the regular season. However, Darius Garland (back) and Donovan Mitchell (knee) are both good to go, so Okoro will return to his usual role off the bench.

  • Cavaliers' Sam Merrill: No restrictions for Game 1

Merrill (neck) isn't expected to face any restrictions Saturday in Game 1 of the Cavaliers' opening-round series with the Magic, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.

Merrill sat out the final three games of the regular season due to a neck strain. The 27-year-old is good to go for the start of the Cavaliers' postseason run, but he won't be guaranteed a sizable role in the rotation while Cleveland has all of its key wings available.
