  • Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Sets new career high in points

Collier finished with 23 points (9-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and one block across 37 minutes in Sunday's 112-111 overtime victory over the Nets.

Despite leaving the game for a brief period of time to be evaluated for a concussion following a hard foul, Collier checked back into the contest and submitted with the best stat line of his young career. With Keyonte George (heel) having been sidelined for the past five games, Collier has started at point guard in every contest, averaging 8.2 points, 7.8 assists, 4.8 boards and 1.0 three-pointers in 30.4 minutes during that stretch. While Collier should be a decent source of counting stats for as long as George is out of the lineup, efficiency is a major concern for the rookie first-round pick. Collier is shooting just 35 percent from the field and 56 percent from the free-throw line through his first 30 career games.

  • Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Heads to locker room Sunday

Collier left Sunday's contest against the Nets after taking a hard fall but has been cleared to return to the game Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports.

Collier took a hard fall on a shot attempt and left for the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion. After a quick trip to the back, Collier was cleared to return, so he shouldn't be in danger of missing any time.

Collier accumulated three points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds and nine assists over 26 minutes during Tuesday's 124-121 loss to the Hawks.

With Keyonte George (heel), Jordan Clarkson (foot), John Collins (personal) and Brice Sensabaugh (illness) all on the sidelines, Collier had a tough night shooting the ball in the starting lineup. He's had a rough time during his rookie season and is now shooting 30.7 percent from the field and 15.7 percent from beyond the arc through 27 appearances.

  • Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Logs adequate line in first start

Collier contributed seven points (3-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), eight rebounds and seven assists in 35 minutes during Thursday's 122-120 loss to Portland.

The Jazz elected to slide Svi Mykhailiuk over to the wing and give Collier, their 2024 first-round pick, his first crack at a starting role. The USC product hasn't seen much action, and while his shot was a bit rusty, he delivered solid secondary numbers to support the backcourt. Collier will slide back into a reserve role when Keyonte George (ankle) returns.

With Keyonte George (foot) returning from a one-game absence, Collier will slide back to the bench. • Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Stuffs stat sheet

Collier contributed seven points (3-9 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-4 FT), six rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 25 minutes during Saturday's 111-110 win over San Antonio.

Collier failed to get a shot to fall from beyond the arc, but that didn't stop him from contributing elsewhere. He packed the stat sheet in his first NBA start, filling in admirably for Keyonte George (foot). Collier should fall back into a bench role following George's return to health, but Saturday was a promising step for the rookie out of USC.

  • Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Getting starting nod

Collier will start during Saturday's game versus the Spurs, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.

With Keyonte George (foot) out, Collier is set to make his first NBA start against San Antonio. Collier has logged just four minutes so far this season after missing time with a hamstring injury, so this will be the rookie guard's first extended run.

  • Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Logs garbage-time run in NBA debut

Collier (hamstring) played the final 4:13 of Thursday's game against the Bucks, finishing with zero points (0-1 FG), one turnover and no other statistics.

Well after the Bucks had sewn up the victory, Collier checked into the game and made his NBA debut after he had missed the Jazz's first seven contests while recovering from the right hamstring strain he suffered during the preseason. Patty Mills continued to operate as the primary backup to starting point guard Keyonte George on Thursday, but given that the 36-year-old Mills is on an expiring deal for a 1-7 Jazz squad, expect Collier -- the 29th overall pick in June's draft -- to eventually move into a spot on the second unit at some point this season.
