76ers' Paul George: Shut down for season
George received injections in his left adductor muscle and left knee Monday and has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
George has been consulting with doctors on treatment options for his injuries, and while a decision hasn't been made whether the 34-year-old will require surgery, he'll be held out of activity for the next six weeks while he waits for the injections to take full effect. The veteran forward delivered a lackluster first season in Philadelphia, finishing with averages of 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.3 three-pointers, 1.8 steals and 0.5 blocks across 32.5 minutes per game in 41 appearances. George is expected to be back to full health in advance of training camp in the fall.

76ers' Paul George: Remains out Monday
George (groin/knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Rockets.
George's injury has been changed from a left groin strain to left groin maintenance, suggesting he's at least made some progress. However, he continues to consult doctors on treatment options for his groin and knee. A decision on whether or not the veteran will need another surgery is expected to come in the next couple of days, but while he's sidelined, Ricky Council, Justin Edwards and Oshae Brissett are candidates for increased roles, especially with Kelly Oubre (knee) and Lonnie Walker (concussion) also sidelined.

76ers' Paul George: Evaluating options, surgery possible
George has been consulting with doctors on treatment options for his groin and knee injuries, and a decision on whether he'll need a procedure to address either injury is expected to be made early next week, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
George has missed the 76ers' last four games, and given that a decision on his treatment plan won't be made until early next week, he can safely be ruled out for games Friday versus the Pacers and Sunday in Dallas. Given that the 22-43 76ers don't have much at stake heading into the final month of the season, the star forward looks like he could be a candidate to get shut down whether he requires a procedure or not.

76ers' Paul George: Out at least two more games
George (groin) has been ruled out for the 76ers' next two games Monday in Atlanta and Wednesday in Toronto and is scheduled to be re-evaluated prior to Friday's home game versus the Pacers, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
George is continuing to receive treatment on his left groin and is consulting with team physicians on his injury, which will end up keeping him out for a third and fourth consecutive game. Entering play Monday, the 22-41 76ers sit 3.5 games behind the Bulls for the final spot in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament, so the organization may not have much incentive to rush George back to the court until he's fully healthy.
