Top James Harden News

  • Clippers' James Harden: Won't go Sunday

Harden (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rockets, Vanessa Richardson of Space City Home Network reports.

Harden was initially tagged as questionable due to right groin soreness, and the team has since announced that he won't be able to suit up Sunday. Expect Kevin Porter and Bones Hyland to see an uptick in minutes at point guard in Harden's absence.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Questionable to play Sunday

Harden is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rockets due to right groin soreness, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.

Harden is coming off his worst outing of the 2024-25 season, notching five points, three rebounds and three assists across 24 minutes. It's unclear if this injury was related to this marked drop in performance compared to recent games, but the Clippers aren't expected to take too many risks with their star guard since they're already missing Kawhi Leonard (knee). If Harden is out, then Norman Powell would probably have an even bigger role on offense, while Kevin Porter, Bones Hyland and Amir Coffey are all expected to see more minutes.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Worst game of season Tuesday

Harden registered five points (1-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 108-80 loss to the Timberwolves.

Harden had not only his worst performance of the season, but perhaps one of his worst outings in recent memory in this loss Wednesday, particularly from a shooting perspective. Harden has managed to remain productive throughout the campaign while shouldering a bigger-than-expected load on offense, but the lack of efficiency is a worrying trend. Over his last 10 games, Harden is shooting just 37.7 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from deep.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Scores 23 points with seven assists

Harden recorded 23 points (6-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 8-9 FT), one rebound, seven assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Tuesday's 127-105 win over the Trail Blazers.

Harden struggled with this shot in this one, at least compared to what he'd been doing in the last few games, but fantasy managers shouldn't be overly concerned with his lack of efficiency as long as he continues to put up numbers across the board. Harden has scored at least 20 points while dishing out at least seven assists in six of his last seven games, averaging 27.0 points, 8.9 dimes, 5.1 boards and 2.0 steals per game in that stretch.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Comes close to triple-double

Harden posted 39 points (10-26 FG, 6-15 3Pt, 13-13 FT), nine rebounds, 11 assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Sunday's 126-122 win over the Nuggets.

Harden finished just one rebound away from recording what would've been only his second triple-double of the year, but even if he couldn't reach that milestone, there's no question he's going through his most productive stretch of the campaign. Harden, who has surpassed the 35-point mark in two of his last three contests, is averaging a robust 24.3 points, 8.9 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game over his past 10 contests.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Hands out 11 assists Friday

Harden produced 20 points (7-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, 11 assists and five steals in 37 minutes during Friday's 93-92 loss to the Timberwolves.

Harden handed out double-digit assists for the first time since a 102-99 win over the Warriors on Nov. 18, but he did it while keeping his impressive scoring stretch alive. Harden has reached the 20-point mark in five of his last six appearances, and he has embraced a bigger role on offense with Norman Powell (hamstring) sidelined. Harden is averaging 25.2 points, 8.2 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game in that six-game stretch.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Dominates with 43 points in win

Harden finished Wednesday's 121-96 victory over the Wizards with 43 points (13-22 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 10-11 FT), four rebounds, seven assists and three steals across 32 minutes.

It was a vintage performance for the 35-year-old 10-time All-Star, who set the tone early for the Clippers by going off for 23 points in the first quarter of Wednesday's blowout win on his way to a season-high 43 points and seven threes. Harden may have had an even bigger night if the contest had been more competitive, as head coach Tyronn Lue had the luxury of resting each of his five starters in the fourth period. Harden should continue to serve as the focal point of Los Angeles' offense while Kawhi Leonard (knee) remains sidelined, and he is now averaging 21.6 points, 8.7 assists, 7.2 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 2.8 three-pointers per game over 20 contests this year.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Close to double-double in win

Harden chipped in 23 points (4-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 12-12 FT), two rebounds, eight assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Sunday's 125-99 win over the 76ers.

Harden seemed to be playing with some extra motivation against his former team and it showed, as he finished just two assists away from a double-double while surpassing the 20-point mark for the third straight contest. Harden has scored at least 20 points in seven of his last 10 appearances, averaging a solid 8.2 assists, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 0.6 blocks per game in that span.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Leads charge in Friday's win

Harden notched a team-high 22 points (5-18 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 10-10 FT), six rebounds, nine assists, one block and three steals across 36 minutes during Friday's 104-88 win over Sacramento.

The 35-year-old guard came through with at least 20 points for the fourth time in the last five games, and he's pulled down at least six boards in eight straight contests while draining multiple threes in nine straight. On the season, Harden is averaging 20.4 points, 8.8 assists, 7.6 rebounds, 2.5 threes and 1.6 steals, impressive production considering his shooting woes -- his 36.5 percent mark from the floor and 31.1 percent from beyond the arc would both be career lows.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Scores team-high 24 points

Harden accumulated 24 points (5-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 11-12 FT), seven rebounds and five assists over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 104-93 victory over the Magic.

Harden continued his role as the Clippers top offensive weapon in a convincing home win, although Wednesday's game was a slight regression compared to his most recent totals. Despite key injuries hindering the squad, Harden is getting enough production from his supporting cast to reach a 9-7 record, which is a much better result than many expected given the departure of Paul George and the continuing injury struggles for Kawhi Leonard (knee).

  • Clippers' James Harden: Hands out 16 assists Monday

Harden finished Monday's 102-99 win over the Warriors with 12 points (4-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, 16 assists, two blocks and two steals across 41 minutes.

Harden matched his season-high mark in the assists department and now has nine double-doubles, along with one triple-double, as the Clippers' main offensive option. Despite his strong all-around numbers, fantasy managers who are rostering Harden should begin to be concerned with his lack of efficiency. Once one of the best shooters in the league, he's now shooting just 37.5 percent from the floor, including 33.3 percent from deep, since the beginning of November.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Impressive stat line Sunday

Harden racked up 20 points (7-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, 11 assists, two blocks and two steals across 34 minutes during Sunday's 116-105 victory over the Jazz.

Harden continues to struggle with his three-point shot, but other than that, he turned back the clock Sunday and delivered an impressive all-around effort with at least two tallies in each of the five major categories. Harden recorded double-digit assists for the fifth time this season and scored in double digits for the fourth time in his last six outings. During that span, Harden has averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.3 steals across 33.7 minutes per game.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Scores 21 points Friday

Harden closed with 21 points (7-14 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one block across 31 minutes during Friday's 125-104 loss to the Rockets.

Harden led the Clippers in scoring Friday, but overall, it was a poor offensive showing from Los Angeles -- no other player surpassed the 15-point mark and no other starter registered more than 13 points. Harden continues to produce as the engine that keeps the Clippers offense going, though. He's averaging 18.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks per game since the beginning of November despite shooting just 37.4 percent from the field.

  • Clippers' James Harden: Continues solid stretch of play

Harden closed Wednesday's 111-103 loss to the Rockets with 19 points (6-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and three steals across 31 minutes.

Harden has been playing at a high level this season despite not being the Clippers' go-to option as a scorer, and his numbers have been excellent overall. He's been particularly good for standard formats, as managers who roster him in category-based formats have been suffering a bit with his lack of efficiency. Harden is shooting 35.6 percent from the field, 34.7 percent from three and 85.1 percent from the charity stripe since the beginning of November, but his overall stat line of 18.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in that stretch compensates for the lack of efficiency.
