  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Clubs three-run homer

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-5 loss against the Brewers. The 32-year-old launched a three-run shot to center field during the eighth inning to cut into a 7-2 deficit, but Cleveland was unable to rally any further. It was Ramirez's second homer in as many days, which brings his total to eight for the season. In addition to the long balls, the third baseman continues to be one of the most productive hitters in the league with 12 steals and a .295/.363/.510 slash line through 41 games.

He later walked and scored again after swiping his third base of the night. It was his first multi-steal game of the year and first time stealing three in one contest since 2021. Ramirez has gone 15-for-40 (.375) over his last 11 games, raising his slash line to .289/.356/.472 with 12 steals through 163 plate appearances.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Homers in win

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-0 win over the Phillies. Ramirez finished off the scoring with his homer in the seventh inning. It was his first long ball in 15 games and sixth of the season. It didn't take long for Ramirez to shake off the ankle injury that forced him to miss one game. In the five games since, he's 6-for-20 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Back in action Sunday

Ramirez (ankle) is starting at third base and batting third against the Blue Jays on Sunday. The 32-year-old was held out of Saturday's starting nine after he suffered an ankle sprain during Friday's contest, but he'll end up missing only one game. Ramirez is in the midst of a 10-game homer drought during which he has a .270/.289/.297 slash line with one double and five steals.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Not starting Saturday

Ramirez (ankle) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto. Ramirez suffered a sprained right ankle during Friday's contest and will be held out of Saturday's contest in order to recover. Will Wilson will pick up a start at the hot corner as a result and bat seventh.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Diagnosed with ankle sprain

Ramirez was diagnosed with a mild right ankle sprain after leaving Friday's game against Toronto early. Ramirez injured himself while trying to beat out a throw to first base in the third inning. The mild nature of his injury may allow him to avoid spending time on the injured list, though it's possible the Guardians play it safe and give their star third baseman a day or two off.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Exits game due to leg injury

Ramirez left Friday's game against the Blue Jays in the third inning with an apparent leg injury, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Ramirez appeared to injure his right leg while stepping on first base to beat out a throw. He was able to walk off the field under his own power, and an update from the Guardians should be provided once he undergoes further tests. Daniel Schneemann pinch ran for Ramirez and will remain in the game at second base while Gabriel Arias shifts to third.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Makes franchise history

Ramirez went 1-for-5 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Twins. Ramirez was pivotal in the Guardians' walk-off win, singling in the tying run then scoring the winning run after he stole second base. With the steal, he entered the record books as the first player in Cleveland history to record 250 stolen bases and 250 home runs in his career. The steal was his seventh of the season.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Logs two hits, steal

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox. He went 0-for-4 in the nightcap. Most of Ramirez's production in the matinee occurred in the first inning, when he drove in the first of four Cleveland runs in the opening frame then stole second base and scored. The third baseman has turned on his jets over the last week. After logging just one theft in his first 17 games, Ramirez has stolen four in the subsequent seven-game span. He might be hard pressed to reach the career-high 41 steals logged in 2024, but Ramirez should record 20 or more for the eighth time in his career.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Swipes bag in win

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over Pittsburgh. Most of Ramirez's offensive contributions came in the seventh inning, when he had a two-out single, stole second base and scored on Kyle Manzardo's home run. Ramirez was recently dropped from the second spot in the order to third, which has helped a pair of slumping outfielders; Lane Thomas and Nolan Jones snapped hitless runs out of the two-hole. As for Ramirez, his bat plays anywhere. He's 4-for-11 with two walks, two steals, one RBI and three runs scored since manager Stephen Vogt tweaked the order.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Blasts three homers in win

Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a walk, three home runs and four RBI in Friday's 8-6 win against the Angels. The seven-time All-Star entered the contest with one run scored and two RBI through five games this season, but he padded those totals Friday by homering in the first, fifth and ninth innings. It's the second three-homer game of Ramirez's career and his 26th multi-homer performance, with the latter mark tying Cleveland's franchise record, per Sarah Langs of MLB.com. The power display boosted his season slash line to .381/.440/1.048 in 25 plate appearances.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Belts homer in return

Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Monday's 7-2 loss to San Diego. Ramirez was held out of Sunday's matchup against Kansas City due to a right wrist sprain, but he was back in action Monday after missing just one game. The issue didn't seem to have any impact on his swing, as the star third baseman notched his first two extra-base hits of the season -- a first-inning solo homer and a third-inning double. Ramirez went 0-for-6 with a walk over his first two games entering Monday.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Back after one-game absence

Ramirez (wrist) will start at third base and bat second in Monday's game against the Padres. Ramirez suffered a sprained right wrist on a stolen-base attempt during Saturday's game against the Royals and didn't play Sunday. However, he's been cleared to return to action after just a one-day absence.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Imaging negative, still day-to-day

Manager Stephen Vogt said imaging on Ramirez's right wrist came back negative, and the third baseman could be available as a pinch hitter Sunday against the Royals, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports. The 32-year-old suffered a right wrist sprain on a slide while attempting to steal a base Saturday, but he's avoided a serious injury and may be available off the bench Sunday. Ramirez could return to the lineup as early as Monday in San Diego, though he could miss another day or two, with Vogt noting that the Guardians "want to be super cautious" so that the star third baseman's injury "doesn't turn into something that's going to linger."

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Out of Sunday's lineup

Ramiriez (wrist) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports. The third baseman suffered a sprained right wrist on a stolen-base attempt during the third inning Saturday, so it's not a surprise he'll be out of the starting nine for at least one game. Ramirez is undergoing additional testing and should be considered day-to-day in the meantime. Gabriel Arias will shift to the hot corner while Daniel Schneemann starts at second base in the series finale at Kansas City.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Considered day-to-day

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt told reporters after Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Royals that Ramirez is currently considered day-to-day due to a wrist sprain, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports. Ramirez rolled his right wrist on a slide during a stolen base attempt in the third inning Saturday, but he managed to stay in the game until the sixth. The third baseman will undergo further testing Sunday morning to determine the severity of the injury and could be held out of the series finale, though it sounds like he will push to play. Daniel Schneemann figures to step in at the hot corner if Ramirez misses time.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Sprains wrist Saturday

Ramirez was removed from Saturday's game against the Royals due to a sprained right wrist, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports. Ramirez looked to be bothered by his hand/wrist after jamming it into the ground during a stolen base attempt in the third inning, but he managed to stay in the game for a bit longer until his removal in the sixth. The Guardians haven't provided any details regarding the severity of the six-time All-Star's injury, but a sprained wrist typically leads to a stint on the injured list more often than not. Daniel Schneemann is most likely to benefit from extra playing time if Ramirez lands on the IL.

  • Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Logs two hits Friday

Ramirez batted second and went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Friday's spring game against the Mariners. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt said Friday he's leaning toward having Ramirez hit second in the 2025 regular season. He's mostly batted third during his career, but Ramirez has hit second in six of 11 Cactus League starts. He's batting .389 (7-for-18) out of the second spot in the order this spring compared to .154 (2-for-13) when batting third.
