Sundqvist (knee) was placed on the injured non-roster list Monday.
Sundqvist sustained a torn ACL in March and was initially expected to be ready for Opening Night, but he'll need more time to recover before he's cleared to make his season debut. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to action. Over 71 appearances with St. Louis last year, he tallied six goals and 21 points.
