  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Dealing with new health concerns

Walker was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to ankle and calf injuries, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Walker previous dealt with an oblique issue and an illness this season, so the health concerns that are impacting his reps to begin Week 14 prep are new ones. In the 10 games in which he's been active this season, he's earned a 60 percent snap share eight times, and he's averaged 19.3 touches for 84.4 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring six TDs in those contests. How Walker fares in practice Thursday and Friday likely will determine whether he'll continue to be the 1A in the Seahawks backfield over Zach Charbonnet for Sunday's game in Arizona.

  • Saints' Kendre Miller: Returns to practice

Miller (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Miller returned to practice in full Wednesday after missing the Saints' last four games due to a hamstring injury sustained in a Week 8 loss to the Chargers. The second-year running back from TCU now has 21 days to be activated to the Saints' active roster before reverting to IR. If Miller is activated in time to play in New Orleans' Week 14 matchup against the Giants on Sunday, he'll likely serve as the team's No. 3 RB, playing behind Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams.

  • Zamir White RB | LV

Raiders' Zamir White: Still not practicing

    White (quadriceps) didn't practice Wednesday.

White -- who last played in Week 11 -- didn't practice last week, so his continued absence Wednesday isn't a great sign regarding his status for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Meanwhile, fellow RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) -- who has also missed two straight games -- remained limited at practice. If White and/or Mattison remain out this weekend, Sincere McCormick (who has been signed to the active roster) should continue to see added opportunities in a Las Vegas backfield that also includes Ameer Abdullah.

  • Jonathan Ward RB | PIT

    Jonathan Ward: Out in Pittsburgh

The Steelers waived Ward on Wednesday.

The Central Michigan product was signed to Pittsburgh's active roster Nov. 16, but the team has now decided to move in a different direction. Ward appeared in four games for the Steelers this season, logging five carries for 22 yards over 69 total snaps (10 offensive and 59 on special teams).

  • Raheem Mostert RB | MIA

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Limited on Wednesday

Mostert (hip) was limited in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Mostert injured his hip Nov. 17 against the Raiders but was able to return to the game. His practice reps weren't affected by the injury in recent weeks, but perhaps this is more of a maintenance day for the veteran running back. Mostert led the Dolphins in rushing last Thursday night against the Packers, mustering up 19 yards on five carries.

  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: Coach optimistic despite no practice

Hall (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, but coach Jeff Ulbrich sounded optimistic about the running back's chances of playing Sunday against Miami, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Ulbrich may have been optimistic, but he also acknowledged that it's too early in the week to know if Hall and other injured players will play, per SNY Jets. And while Hall played through the knee injury after being listed as questionable last week, he finished with season-low 62 percent snap share and 12 touches in a 26-21 loss to Seattle on Sunday. It's possible his workload disappoints again in Week 14 if he ends up playing, with rookies Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis both looming as threats to take valuable snaps/touches away from a banged-up Hall.

  • Bucky Irving RB | TB

Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: No practice Wednesday

Irving was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice due to hip and back injuries.

Irving was seen limping as the Buccaneers went to the locker room at halftime this past Sunday at Carolina and deemed questionable to return at the start of the third quarter. He reentered the contest and ended up pacing Tampa Bay with 25 carries for 152 yards and one touchdown, while adding three catches (on three targets) for 33 yards. Irving told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times on Monday that he was feeling much better one day removed from the game, but a pair of health concerns are impacting his practice reps to kick off Week 14 prep. Irving will have two more chances Thursday and Friday to put himself on a path to being available Sunday against the Raiders.

  • Raiders' Alexander Mattison: Limited in practice

Mattison (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

Fellow running back Zamir White (quadriceps) was a non-participant and thus appears more likely than Mattison to miss a third straight game. Ameer Abdullah filled in as the starter the past two weeks, but Sincere McCormick had a significant role in the second game, taking 38 percent of snaps and a team-high 12 carries (for 64 yards) in the 19-17 loss to Kansas City on Friday. It's hard to say what Mattison's role will be if he returns this Sunday against Tampa Bay, considering he's averaging 3.3 yards per carry this season and has reached 40 rushing yards in just one of his five starts.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Clear for Week 14

Jacobs (calf) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game at Detroit, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Jacobs operated with a cap on his practice reps Monday through Wednesday due to a calf injury, but it won't stop him from continuing to lead Green Bay's backfield Thursday. Over his last five contests, he's averaged 22.4 touches for 118 yards from scrimmage and 1.4 touchdowns per game, making him a must-start option for fantasy purposes.

  • 49ers' Patrick Taylor: Promoted to active roster

The 49ers promoted Taylor on Wednesday from the practice squad to the active roster.

Taylor's promotion comes as no surprise after the 49ers lost Christian McCaffrey to a knee injury and Jordan Mason to an ankle injury, temporarily leaving rookie Isaac Guerendo as the only healthy running back on the active roster. Guerendo figures to step in as the lead runner, but Taylor may get a decent chunk of the playing time, especially on passing downs. The 49ers also added RB Israel Abanikanda this week, claiming him off waivers, while Ke'Shawn Vaughn is a new addition to the practice squad.
